A: I'm afraid not. This dolly is very compact, it is not wide enough for a tripod. However it does have a 3/8 -16 threaded hole in the center for mounting flat base tripod heads, such as the Manfrotto 502HD (B&H #MAMVH502AH). If you are looking for an option that will work with a tripod you may want to look at the Glide Gear SYL-960 Floor/Track Hybrid Tripod Dolly (B&H #GLSYL960) and their Straight Track option (B&H #GLSYL101).

A: the pipes have a thread cut inside, then they machined nipples with 2 male threads on them to join the tubes. you keep the nipple mounted on one side, and there is a protective rubber cap for when not in use.they are awesome for when you need to be moving around location, rather than dragging long pipe around.the threads are a little fine, be careful getting them started so you don't strip them.

A: This set is for the Dana Dolly and would also work with the Proaim Polaris dolly. We are not aware of a curved option.

My question is because in the specifications of this kit of tubes it says that it has a diameter of 1.25 "/ 3.17 cm and for the Dana Dolly Universal System to work they recommend tubes of Outside Diameter: 1.5 to 1.9 "(3.8 to 4.8 cm). Can someone explain to me if they have used it and if it is correct what I explain? I would not like to buy it and that it is not tight and loose.

A: Dana Dolly make two types of track ends, the “Original” which only works with 1.25” speedrail (pipe has an O.D. of 1.66”, I don’t know where they get the 1.25” BTW) and the “Universal” which works with any size pipe from 1.25” to 1.5” (again, the pipe size does not correlate to the actual size of the pipe for some reason). The pipe kit is made from schedule 80 aluminum pipe that is 1.25” (the 1.66” O.D.) and it works with both track ends. It is a little confusing because of the fact that the actual measurements don’t correlate with what the pipe is named, but we’ve found on the West Coast people generally use the 1.25” speedrail or aluminum pipe for grip trucks, and on the East Coast the 1.5” pipe is the most common size. The Universal track ends are also the ones anyone outside of the USA will want to use. Hard to find the proper size in say, Romania.
