[5 to 1 µs] Would love an 8 port 10GBe switch, but until such time this will have to do, so far transfering files from one PC to another is as fast as the drives can transfer files, and I can now do that across a few drives at the same time... its kind of amazing.

[0.0 dB] Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. In fact I have purchased a second device to compliment my home lab environment (VMware, KVM, SSD NAS, etc.) and will have both connected to a Netgear Nighthawk SX10 for internet access. My only suggestion is to ensure you maintain proper ventilation, protect your investment!

[External] Does what it is supposed to do. User friendly web interface and quite responsive. Good for people starting to get into 10G but not ready for the cost of an exclusively 10G switch.

[Passive] I bought this switch specifically to allow me to transfer files between my computer and NAS faster. My NAS has two Gigabit network ports and my computer (running Windows 10) has one Gigabit network port. My transfer rates were a measly 35-60MB/sec. I put a 10Gb NIC in my computer and used this switch to bind two network ports the NAS was using together to establish a 2Gb port. The interface on the switch is very easy to navigate and understand. First thing I did, of course, is to change the password. Next I did the binding. I don't have a need for a VLAN where it is located but may end up buying another switch in order to seperate my security camera traffic from the computer traffic. I have options now! With files transfers, I am now getting a solid 110MB/sec transfer rates sustained. I'm hoping I can tweak this a bit more to increase it but it is far better than it was before.

[Yes] My old switch (another brand and the only non Netgear switch) failed. Looked at several models and settled on this one. PoE is a nice plus but I don't have a need or it right now but it is a nice feature to have. Devices connect and buzz the internet with no problems. No complaints

[9728 Bytes] This is a terrific addition to my recent network upgrade to 10g. It paired up great with my Netgear gaming router and gaming hub. The interface to manage the device is also nice, you get a good visual of options for what is attached and their port speeds. I plan to buy another one this month to complete my project so I would recommend for anyone wanting to upgrade their network. Also has rack mounting accessories.

[External] The value in this switch is unrivaled. I spent a whole afternoon researching for our purchase of a new managed switch and the Netgear GS110EMX lived up to and exceeded my expectations . The setup was intuitive (I didn't even need to read instructions) and creating the VLANs we needed was a breeze. I don't believe there is a switch available that compares with features and price.
