[Yes] Great ball head! I use it on a Manfrotto 190x pro 3 and it's a perect combo. Very solid and secure, even with larger lenses at odd angles. The one I currently have is actually my second copy of the head. The first one started becoming wobbly after ~6 months of light to normal use. The main section of the head would shift around within the base part. However, after contacting Vanguard, they replaced it immediately and my new one is functioning perfectly after ~7 months. Rating 5 stars since I am confident in Vanguard's warranty and customer service and my current head is working fantastically. Otherwise, it's a sturdy tripod head all around, so not much else to say - it's easy to tighten and loosen everything quickly and the panning motion is smooth. I completely trust my gear on this head. The only negative I can think of is that the finish is not very durable, based on having owned two of these. It does not take long for the clamp part to get pretty beat up from taking the plate in and out. It's just a cosmetic thing though, so I don't find it to be a big deal.

[0.29 lb] I bought this head to replace a worn out head on a Vanguard tripod. it works well for the load of a Nikon D610 and telephoto lens. No creep when mounted. I think it was an excellent replacement.

[Black] Tough ball head. I bought it for an old Manfrotto tripod I'm using in a night photography course and it easily holds my Canon 6D and 17-40L lens. Great service with B&H.

[0.29 lb] I purchased this as a backup ball head for my travel tripod. A couple of years ago a dropped tripod with a damaged ball head almost ruined my trip. After receiving the Vanguard Alta BH-300, I've made it made it my primary, replacing a unit that cost 5 times as much. This unit is plenty stable for my D850 and some heavy Ziess glass and a heavy pano set up. For the money, you'll get a quality item.

DOES NOT come with an adaptor for smaller existing threaded screw. I can't understand, why they don't just include it. If you are like me, and in another country, and in need of this simple adaptor it becomes an immediate BIG problem.

[0.29 lb] This is a great piece of kit, first day out of the box it was knocked about scrambling over river rocks and still worked perfectly. Time will tell whether this holds up to a 5 star rating. I bought this to replace my pan & tilt tripod head which struggled to stay level when I used my 70 - 200mm lens, but this one didn't seem to have any trouble at all.

[Yes] I just received the BH-100 to replace the SBH 100 Ive been using for the past 11 years or so.  Im extremely impressed.  The BH 100 tightens down nicely and holds firmly.  The best feature as far as Im concerned is the addition of a friction knob, which allows you to keep slight tension on the ball to adjust it, yet not have the camera flopping all over because the tension knob is loose.  Ive tried the arca mount clamp with mounts from several manufacturers and found it to fit quite nicely.  All in all, an excellent product at a very reasonable price.  Keep up the good work Vanguard!
