Q: 1. Can I mix to another input while using chroma key effect?

A: YES YOU CAN. the chroma key effect has a dedicated key on the panel DSK which you program it in the menu which input to use as chroma key and other settings.So while the DSK switch is On you can mix the other inputs (but not the input you set for chroma effect)I use it to display lower third lyrics from the laptop while I keep mixing camera feeds from the three cameras

Q: 3. Does anyone who owns this have an issue with one of the main buttons sticking? I just received my brand new switcher today and Button 1 on the A bus (top row) has a tendency to stick when you press it in all the way (it stays de-pressed). It still works well and if you don't press it in all the way, it's fine. But I can't get the others to stick even if I tried but this one sticks every so often when it's pushed in all the way. It usually pops back up shortly after or you can sort of wiggle it and it'll pop up again, but I can't imagine this is normal...or is it? Outside that it all works flawlessly and I LOVE the iPad app!!

Q: 4. Will this show up as a webcam through the USB?

A: The USB on this is for control only. It does not have a USB output for video.

Q: 5. how do you show media clips? does that take a channel?

A: I use a laptop to slides and play clips and it does take up a channel. I know of no way around this.

Q: 8. Hi, I am a beginner to this kind of HDMI switch/mixer, I want to know any PAL/NTSC input source (camera) restriction apply to this switcher?

A: It is a world standard switcher so it can accept either PAL or NTSC signals. You cannot mix them however; you must choose one or the other.

Q: 9. Can the Multi-view HDMI out be set any other output, like Program View (PGM)? The manual kind of shows it can, but doesn't specifically say if you can set the Program View thru the HDMI-out.

A: Yes, you can use it as another program out if you'd like.

Q: 10. Can I connect this device (out) to a VR3X (in)?

A: That would be possible. You could take the output from the V-1HD and connect it to the Roland VR-3EX's 4th HDMI input. The 4th HDMI input on the VR-3EX can accept an HD signal.
