Select a desired style from the menu, and the algorithm shapes the tone to achieve an ideal balance for that instrument. Change the speed at which the process is applied, or change the overall tonality, highs, or lows. You can even set filter points, stopping all processing below or above your desired frequency. This can be useful for sculpting just the midrange of track or for excluding the treble to obviate any undue harshness.

Neutron Advanced comes with 8 individual module plug-ins, so if you only need the EQ or Sculptor, you can instantiate it without loading the compressor, transient shaper, etc. Each of the modules can be loaded independently.

A: I would doubt that this would be possible, especially with the closed framework of Apple with the iPad as it usually cannot be setup as a monitor. I purchased a small 8 monitor for my compact setup and that works great.

Q: 4. What is the A/D & D/A on this Unit? Also, what is the max Mic Pre Gain? Specs look confusing...seems to be +50db which is not enough for a SM7b (needs 60db) without a Cloudlifter

A: Tascam does not disclose which converters they are using. And yes, you will need to use a cloudlifter when using an SM7B.

A: Yes it will work. You will be able to output from the V-1HD through HDMI in to the Teradek VidiU Pro, B&H #TEVIDIUP.

Q: 6. Have seen YouTube videos claiming one cannot do a mix-minus with a caller on a phone plugged into the 1/8" TRRS. The manual, states on p.23 that a mix-minus WILL occur; that the caller will get the "MAIN OUTPUT" but that "the sound from the smartphone itself is not included in those output signals." 1. Can someone confirm from experience that this is the case--mix-minus works? 2. Can someone confirm if it's possible to do a mix-minus with cell phone AND a mix-minus with something like Zoom or Skype with another person who's on a USB-connected computer? Thanks very much.

A: Mix-minus on the Tascam Model 12 Integrated Production Suite Mixer/Recorder/USB Interface does work when using a cell phone connected to the mixer's 3.5mm TRRS smartphone input. You may also be able to have a second mix-minus for a SKype or Zoom call by using the sub outputs for the audio from the computer without routing them through the main outputs. We have not tested this setup but there do seem to be videos on YouTube that show this type of setup.

Q: 7. Can the Multi-view HDMI out be set any other output, like Program View (PGM)? The manual kind of shows it can, but doesn't specifically say if you can set the Program View thru the HDMI-out.

A: Yes, you can use it as another program out if you'd like.

A: The USB on this is for control only. It does not have a USB output for video.
