Protect your investment and mount accessories onto your Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K with this dedicated SmallRig Cage Kit for Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6Kfrom SmallRig. This kit includes a full camera cage, a lens mount adapter support, a top handle with an ARRI-style 3/8"-16 mount, an SSD mounting bracket, and an HDMI/USB-C cable clamp. Access to the camera's controls, compartments, and connectors is maintained when the cage is fitted to the camera.

The protective aluminum cage features one shoe mount, a side NATO rail, multiple 1/4"-20 threads, and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style accessory mounts built into the cage's top, sides, and bottom. Protect your lens adapter with the included support bracket, and your HDMI/USB ports with the included cable clamp. Mount a Samsung T5/T7 SSD onto the cage using the included SSD mount bracket.

NOTE: This cage only fits the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K model and is not compatible with the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K or 6K Pro models.

A: The T7 should fit. But is is designed for the Samsung T5 drive which is approved for use with the Pocket camera. The T7 is not qualified and has errors when recording and not an approved SSD drive for the Black Magic Pocket Cameras.

Q: 2. Will the new T7 Shield (approved by Blackmagic) fit into the SSD slot?

A: No, the Smallrig Full Cage for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro has a slot that will only fit the Samsung T5. For holding a Samsung T7 Shielded, we would suggest the SmallRig Universal Holder for External SSD BH #SMBSH2343.

Q: 3. Are there any top handles that are compatible with this cage?

A: Most Top handles that connect via cold shoe, 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 threaded holes will work. A: No, you will have to assemble two pieces. It comes in two pieces. It comes with the screws and allen wrench to put it together.

Q: 6. Would a top plate such as the SmallRig 1853 or SmallRig 2056 meant for the Blackmagic Ursa Mini and Canon C200, respectively, be able to be mounted atop the Smallrig 2203 cage for the BMPCC 6K?

A: The SmallRig Full Cage for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K/4K (B&H# SM2203) has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 taps on top. That's true of many cheese plates and also of many top plates such as the SmallRig Top Plate for Blackmagic URSA Mini/Mini Pro (B&H# SM1853). You could screw them together using appropriately sized screws, if desired. However, you may prefer to consider adding a NATO rail such as SmallRig Low-Profile NATO Rail (2.8") (B&H# SMBUN2483B) if you want to mount many items on top instead.

Q: 7. I saw your customer image of the 6K mounted to the cage and mounted to a gimbal. I just bought Blackmagick 6K and I need to get a gimbal that can support the width of the 6K & Cage. Please let me know what brand and model gimbal that is and I'll be able to buy the cage also? Thanks!

A: Yes it will. It has threadings under it which you'd connect directly to the tripod's plate.

Q: 9. Can this fit the BMPCC4K?

A: No it will not, this cage is specifically designed to fit the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and will not fit any other camera.

Q: 10. Does this cage work with the new BMPCC6K Pro?

A: No, this cage is only for the Blackmagic Pocket 4K and 6K.

[1.62 lb] I should have bought this when I first got my camera, it is really what will take your film game to the next level. I can now start accessorizing my BMPCC. If you have a DJI Ronin S, you will definitely need this in order to stabilize it properly, in fact get this so that you can stabilize properly in general and ensure that your camera is going to be safe in case of a fall. Mandatory. 5

[1.62 lb] i like this cage because i've finally been able to mount the BMPCC 6K on a tripod so that it no longer twists loose — thanks to the pins in the cage and the 1/4 and 3/8 threaded holes on the bottom of the cage. i've also been able to mount multiple accessories (ssd, HDMI transmitter, etc) so they won't twist around or droop, and will ride my stabilizer without throwing the balance off. 5

[9 x 6.2 x 3.4"] Works very well for my purposes. I did purposely try to see if the camera would budge after I screwed the cage on, and it did just a little bit when forced to. Nothing I would worry about under working conditions though. 5

[1.62 lb] I'm not planning to attach the entire world to my camera, but I like the idea of handy attachment points, plus low-weight collision protection. The cage mounts to both tripod screw holes in the camera and replaces these with full-size screw holes in the cage. It also offers orthogonal surfaces for my pocket spirit level. And it doesn't interfere with buttons or doors on the camera. Can't think of anything I don't like about this cage. 5

[1.62 lb] LOVE this cage. The nato rail it's a must. The connectors side could become a little crowded when adding some cable protectors, so if you will buy some, I suggest buying those wich comes all in one, if not they won't fit. 5
