A: It should! I put a 5D mark IV with a 35mm lens AND Really Right Stuff L-Bracket attached and it is just a hair big but fits. The 80D and 70D is about 1/2" shorter and slimmer than the 5D mark IV so it shouldn't have a problem.

Q: 10. I have a similar backpack and the camera compartment is a separate insert easily crushed by content above, is this bag the same?

A: The top compartment and the bottom are divided by a thick foam pad. It does feel like the bottom will not be crushed by the item from the top.

[Gray] This is an interesting pack. I purchased it to carry a 12L camera bag on a two week international trip. The 12L backpack fit in it very well and then I had two separate packs to choose from depending on that day's activities. It's light on the shoulders, has strong external anchor points for carabiners, and fits medium sized monopods and large water bottles in the exterior pockets. Also very cool that it rolls up to the size of a folded, rolled sweatshirt so it can be stuffed into a suitcase or tote bag. Back home, I take it to the beach with towels and snacks or wear it into the city to visit the Space Needle. It's just so comfortable, flexible, and useful. The only thing I wouldn't do is carry unprotected electronics or camera gear in it - it has no structure or padding - but that's not why I got it and I couldn't be happier for the price. 5

[Zipper] I really like this backpack. The camera area could be a little bigger. It just fit my Canon mirrorless camera and 24-105 lens, lens hood, GoPro with tripod and H1n microphone. There are other pockets for extra batteries, filters etc. It seems very well made. Hoping to try it out this week. 5

[Universal] This really is an awesome bag that I've been shopping for. There's a couple of others like it on the market where the bottom compartment is accessible without fumbling through your entire backpack. I might have wished for a side compartment opening but that's OK. I had ample room for a light jacket, snacks and other clothing items while keeping my gear including 2 OM systems camera bodies with tele lenses in the lower compartment. For me it's exactly what the doctor ordered. 5

[1.565 lb] Perfect size carry-on camera bag for plane travel. Love the purchase. If I had to make one small criticism, it would be that it does not have a rain cover I can put over the bag. But I borrowed one from an older camera bag and now use that when I need to travel in the rain. 5

[Zipper] I purchased this backpack as a mothers day gift as she is a rapidly learning new photographer and I wanted my bag back. She shoots a Lumix G9II and this bag is prefect for her camera lens and a spare lens. It also hold her iPad easily. I would not recommend this size bag for a full frame kit but for her purposes it is prefect. 5

[Yes] If you are looking for pack to hold 2 camera bodies, 4 lenses, and all the stuff that goes with it, this is not the bag for you. However, if you want a bag that holds one camera two extra lenses, and accessories and still has room for your lunch, your sweater, a small laptop or tablet and those other things that you might bring along with you on a field trip, plane ride, or to the graduation, this is a great bag. The modest price also makes it a great choice for kit cameras and people that don't have five lenses that they want to take with them. The pack has pockets on each side - perfect for a water bottle and a tripod. The interior is a soft material It works very well as a carry-on bag for air travel - holding your camera, laptop, snacks and a water bottle and will easily fit under the seat in front of you without taking ups every square inch of space. 5
