[0.355 lb] I could be wrong about this, others are prone to disagree, but it gets complicated. This was purchased to complement the Kondor Blue 501 Adjustable Baseplate. Without this piece of nicely machined, symmetrical alloy, spring releases on both ends, there isn't a large flat surface on the Baseplate to attach directly to any other surface. The Dovetail fits nicely into the Baseplate. Dandy. With some platforms that might well be sufficient. However, most tripod heads and surface mounts have their own dovetail receptacle which require yet another dovetail plate. What you end up with is plates mounted back to back, or more accurately: front to front. Or am I missing something?

One minor annoyance: my two plates front to front were not thick enough for the length of a standard ¼-20 camera attachment screw. The end of the screws impede the free sliding of the baseplate along the dovetail. Had to add a bit of spacer between the two dovetails.

I know- clear as mud. But there you have it.

[0.355 lb] I had to trim a little metal off on the left side for it to work with the Red Komodo side handle but it was an easy 5-minute fix with a Dremel.

[0.355 lb] Solid build, no wiggle. Looks nice and provides the necessary mounting points and stability for a wide variety of scenarios. Works well with the VR lens too- everything is behind the lens, so no obstructions.

[0.355 lb] This inexpensive piece attaches via a 1/4 20” and saves you the need to hold that extra gear. Mounting the cold shoe plate to the side of your camera or gear cage is like having another arm, and saves you from a jumbled mess. For $10, this is a must have for folks who use cold shoe mounts daily.

[0.355 lb] The specs show that the package is 4 long. Why I would care I don't know. The plate itself is very short, 1.95 / 50mm long. If you are planning to add a second screw and mount it in two places, you have exactly 1.37 / 35mm screw center to screw center to mount both. My smallrig universal large cage doesn't have screws that close together on the bottom. Worth measuring.

[Cage] I love this cage. Been looking for a cage that would provide me a quick conversion from shooting video to shooting photos. I can go straight from the tripod and just pull the camera out to go hand held with no cage but still maintain the arca Swiss plate to put it on my gimbal then slide back into the cage where it can be in the full right, pop it off the rails with the cage for handheld mode in a snap with a quick release. just overall a great flexible system. Good job Kondor Blue!

[0.355 lb] Paired with the Canon R5 and a 19mm Studio rod system making it a hybrid 15mm LWS and 19mm Studio rod systems and has quick release plates everywhere for different payloads.

[Cage] Most cages for the Canon R5 C (and R5) block your path to change the filter in the Canon filter adapter.

This cage leaves that path open. It additionally is build very solid and the quality is excellent.

[0.355 lb] Great cage for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a cage for their Canon R,R6 or R5!
The Kondor Blue cage fits my R5 perfectly and allows for almost any mounting configurations neatly and without allot of hassle. The top handle breaks down and builds back up in seconds with the nato rail system. The remote trigger works flawlessly once you set the shutter button to start recording video on a full press. The cage was shipped to South Africa via DHL and I have no complaints there.
