I primarily shoot single-camera narrative, using matte box and follow focus rig.This cage fits the a7s perfectly, is very well built, and has a locking screw for HDMI out. I'm using mine with the Sony XLR-K1M Adapter and Microphone Kit and couldn't be happier.I am very impressed with this product.

[0.125 lb] I got an A7SII. After a few shoots borrowing rod support, I realized I needed my own support for a Matte Box, and Follow Focus, and Shoulder Support. It has 1/4 20 threaded holes for accessories, and a handle for carrying, and low mode shots. I use the riser block and rod support on every shoot I do now.

[0.125 lb] The MovCam VCT Cage is well made and fits the F5/F55 precisely. Being the owner of several tripods with VCt 14 plates it makes for quick secure changes from one release plate to another. The protective module for the viewfinder connection is another smart feature..Flexibility in mounting accessories is another great characteristic of the product. It generally does everything it's supposed to well.

Pros: -Conforms to the body of the A7s tightly -Adds robustness without adding too much weight -SOLID Build -Anti twisting design -Gives you a slew of 1/4-20 and 3/8 screw holes all over -Leaves room to comfortably access common controls -Has great included cable clamps -Includes a handle! -Solid rods mounting system -TWO cold shoe mounts for those pesky shoe accessories. Cons: -Is not particularly fast to put on and take off, so expect to have it live on your A7s for the shoot. -The rods mount is very narrow, which is great for adding accessories in front and behind, but doesn't allow adjustments for rig balance -The lens support rod doesn't reach lens adapter bodies. I think you can just buy your own though. -On the pricier side, but at the same time a decent middle of the road rig. The cons are very very minor. We're really enjoying the rig and how it adds robustness!

[0.125 lb] Absolutely a must have addition to any Sony camera. The quality and craftsmanship is amazing. I’m so impressed with the design and ideas smallrig came up with to make this cage. Not only keeps my camera safe it gave me the opportunity to add on some new equipment. Absolutely the best with smallrig !!!!

[0.125 lb] Also have a SmallRig cage on a A7rV and, based on that purchase, I got this for the a6700. Helps with the grip and provides added protection for the camera body.

[0.125 lb] I was a bit worried this cage wouldn't be solid enough with one screw point at the bottom of the camera but its very solid. The cage fits the camera very snug. Build quality is good yet very light. I recommend the black version, it compliments the camera very nice. This kit came with the lens adapter support screw so no need buying extra parts. Movcam went up a little in my book.

[0.125 lb] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?!
