Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you change the feet to metal spikes?

A: Unfortunately, no, the feet of the the Sirui T-024SK Carbon Fiber Tripod with B-00 Ball Head (Black) cannot be changed from the included rubber tips to metal spike tips.

Q: 2. Is the included ball head the same as the Benro IN00 ball head?

A: It has the N00 ball head, which is similar but not exactly the same as the IN00. Works just fine on mine.

Q: 3. What is the weight of the tripod without the Sirui B-00 Series Mini Ball Head? Would the bulk of the weight, 2.2 lb / 1 kg, listed on the specs come from the ball head? If so, then accounting for its weight, would I be correct in thinking the tripod legs are about 1.75lbs? The reason I ask is that I don't care much about the included head because I plan on swapping it with a leveling base from Neewer and Manfrotto 502-Ah and wanted to know basically what weight I may be carrying.

A: The head weighs 7.2 ounces. You may want to look at the Sirui T-1204SK. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1420916-REG/sirui_sut1204sk_t_1204sk_carbon_fiber_tripod.html it weighs a little more but it has a higher weight capacity.

Q: 4. Does the listed height (with center column retracted) include the ball head or is it to the to of the spot the ballhead mounts on?

A: Hi, that height includes the ball head height.

Q: 5. Does this tripod come with the carrying bag?

A: Yes, the Sirui AT-125+B-00K Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod with B-00K Ball Head comes with a carrying bag.

Q: 6. Where does the monopod come from? Is it one of the tripod legs that can be removed or the center column?

A: Yes. Center column can be removed to convert to a monopod and the unit is made in China.

Q: 7. Will a Manfrotto junior geared head fit on this tripod?

A: This tripod is one of the most versatile I have ever come across. I'm not personally familiar with the Manfrotto junior geared head, but assuming that the treads are either 1/4 or 3/8 this tripod will accommodate either one by flipping the collar just below where the ballhead attaches as you have both thread sizes available to use.

Q: 8. Can I remove the ballhead to install my Manfrotto gearhead? Is the mounting screw 3/8" and metal?

A: Yes, the ball head included with the GEEKOTO CT32X Gravity 85 Carbon Fiber Tripod can be removed.

Q: 9. What is the maximum leg length when fully extended? I would be using this to hold a painters palette on the legs and need to make sure the legs are high enough.

A: Tripod specifications • Material: Carbon/magnesium • Extendible and removable centre column • Reversible 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch screw for tripod heads or camera • Legs fold up by 180° • Sealed twist locks for secure support • hook for stabilising and cold weather grips • Max. load: 6kg • Height with centre column extended: 14cm – 149cm • Height without centre column: 21.5cm – 125cm • Closed size: 40cm (without head) • Tube diameter: 13 – 22mm • Weight: 0.8kg, 1kg (with head) – Colour: black

Q: 10. Does the center column have a hook for hanging a weight?

A: Yes, the center column has a hook.

[Ball Head] This is my first carbon fiber tripod and it's working fine so far, I bought it for my trip to Mexico, and so far is working as it should, light, sturdy and good looking.

[Ball Head] Light, good quality, collapses to a pretty small size, and extends to a very tall size. Keep in mind that it is pretty wobbly when it's fully extended, but it shouldn't be an issue if you're shooting with a remote trigger.

[21.9 x 5.7 x 5"] A sturdy, lightweight tripod that's tall enough for astrophotography and can be configured to get the camera down low, too. Easily converts to a monopod that's long enough to keep me from straining my back. Nice case, too.

[4] I purchased this tripod for an upcoming backpacking trip to SE Asia. I wanted something light and durable that didn't take up a bunch of room. This thing seems to tick all the boxes! Feels durable and stable, while at the same time light as a feather. The detachable monopod is a game changer for me when I'm filming and for steady shots doing street photography. The twist style locks on the legs seem like the could be a hair better, but no real complaints! Definitely give this tripod a try if you're looking for an awesome travel tripod and don't want to spend $300-$600 for the other guys!

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I was a little skeptical at first. I wanted to keep the size and weight to a minimum without giving up quality and this tripod has proven to be an effective tool in the field after testing. It allows for a trinity lens system, one Sony camera, tripod, plus accessories in a small backpack (see photo), all coming in under 12 lb. (a little over 5 kilos). The tripod can be extended to nearly 60, but I use that level only to stabilize my 70-180 lens. The three foot level and below gives you maximum self-stability, which works fine for me. I can put a 10 lb. ballast bag under with 3-5 pounds of camera on top with confidence. Kudos to K&F, I think the overall design was pretty well thought out. Thanks B&H!

[90°] I have an A7Rv with some chunky lenses. This tripod handles everything like a champ! I have absolutely no hesitation loading this down with gear.

The Good:
Height!!! This thing goes WAY higher than I need. It's truly laughable; but is still solid.

The Meh:
The ball head works. The is slight sag when you're locking down the angle. But it's no worse (and likely better) than any other tripod with sag issues. I guess if you want to avoid clamping sag, you'll need to spring for a high-end ball head. But the tripod itself is a very decent performer.

The Conclusion:
I think I got this on sale for close to $100 (Maybe $110??). It seems like is constantly on sale.
Around $100, this is a no-brainer. At the listed price of $139, there are a few others that I would consider (3 Legged Things, SmallRig, Benro). I like this Neewer much better than the similar K&F.

It's a good studio-style tripod that's good for anything except long distance hiking. I'm loving it so far.
