A: You can mount the profoto head, just like you usually do. Then attach this mod.

Q: 4. Can this fit inside a storm 2620 case? The specs are similar to the 1560 but a bit smaller.

A: No, the Harrison Lid Organizer Panel for Pelican 1560 (20.5 x 15.5") is too large for the 20 x 14" inner dimensions of the Pelican iM2620 Storm Trak Case.

Q: 5. Can this be attached to a standard baseplate or do you have to have the movecam baseplate?

A: The riser block is cut with a dovetail on the bottom intended to slide into the Movecam baseplate. However, the riser block is also drilled and tapped on the bottom for one centered 3/8 hole and four additional 1/4 holes. So, I'd say it's possible to mount the riser on a standard baseplate.

Q: 6. Does the bottom of this mount on a tripod? Can I attache the tripod plate to the bottom?

A: Yes, the Prompter People Camera Riser Block has receiving mounts milled into the bottom of the block to mount to a tripod plate.

A: Whether you are RIGHT HANDED or LEFT HANDED all you need to do is flip the BLOCK. This apply's to the either BLOCK; large of small block.

I recently mounted my telescope tripod (Celestron AVX) to a wheeled platform (ScopeBuggy) to facilitate moving my telescope between my garage and my backyard. When you're putting an expensive tracking mount, telescope and camera on wheels, you need to make sure there is absolutely no chance of your equipment tipping over. I purchased 3 Global Truss Eye Clamps to use as a means of securing each of my tripod legs to the ScopeBuggy. The clamps install in seconds and fit perfectly on the Celestron AVX tripod legs. They also do not cause any damage to the tripod legs. Once installed, I just wrapped rubber tie downs between the ScopeBuggy frame and each Global Truss Eye Clamp and I was good to go. 5

I'm not using it for lighting or stage, but rather a ham radio antenna. I bought it specifically to use at the base of a mast pole that I needed to tilt over to where I could reach the top and do some work on it. Using this clamp and a pole pounded in the ground, I was able to tilt the top down without the base sliding away from me. 5
