A: Its not ideal for a 400mm....especially with lens hood if you want all the other stuff. 300mm 2.8 no problem. I love the bag, as it can fit easily on any plane. I have a 200-400mm f4, and find best way to travel with everything is the big glass in either a glass taxi and laptop in roller, or a bigger backpack to carry big lens and laptop in that with everything else in roller.
