Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many exposures does this film contain?

A: In a camera that uses 6X9 format e.g. old Kodak Brownie...1940s vintage, I got 8 exposures.

Q: 2. I bought several rolls of 100 & 400 Tmax film and I just learned that they are part of some lots that have been declared defective. Can we get an exchange for this rolls? It has been very frustrating because we have spent a lot of time taking pictures that are spoiled because of this defect.

A: I had similar problems with a 5-pack of Tmax 400 120. The film had frame numbers exposed on it throughout the rolls. Mustve been irradiated or heat damaged. By the time I had figured out it was the film and not me I had shot three rolls. Unfortunately, the remaining two were mixed in with another pack of film so I had to discard them all. Too much effort and travel involved to risk ruined exposures. If Id known others had experienced similar problems I wouldve reached out to BH for some sort of compensation.

Q: 3. Where can I get this film developed?

A: It depends on where you live. I live in Jacksonville, Fl and I can get this developed 2 different ways. I have a friend that lives in Gainesville that I give to him to get it developed for me. There is another place here in Jacksonville Beach that develops them but it's a little more pricy. If you don't live in either of these places, your best bet would be to look up places on the internet that develops 120 film in your area. Not many places develop these types of films these days. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. When is the expiration date of this film?

A: The expiration date can generally be from 6 months to 1 year from now.

Q: 5. Does this spool work on a Kodak Tourist Camera?

A: The tourist camera uses 620. Though You may not need 620 on the feed side. Sometimes cameras have more room on the feed than the take up and you can use a 620 spool for take up and use 120 stock. If you havent yet I would get 120 and see if it fits. Cheaper and more common. If you settle on 620 then this film did work for me. Though I had to wait a very long time and it is pricey. Better love the camera.

Q: 6. Does B&H develop 620 film?

A: No, B&H does not develop 620.

Q: 7. What is the expiration date?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 8. Does this film use the older metal reels, or are they plastic?

A: The reels in the Kodak TMY 620 film are plastic.

Q: 9. Would this head be able to support the Canon R6 Mark II with the 24-105mm F/4 IS lens? Or would I need something sturdier?

A: The Sirui B-00 Series Mini Ball Head (Black) can support the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera with the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 10. Is this ballhead compatible with the Platypod Ultra?

A: It can be secured to the Platypod, however -due to its length- the ball release lever would interfere at each turn with the Platypod. Workable, and annoying. It’s a nice ballhead though.

[Roof] This is my 3rd rangefinder. I have a Callaway with no slope and bought a value rangefinder with slope and it was inaccurate and was easily put into meters. I decided to buy a highly recommended one and looked at the Bushnell's as they seem to be everyone's favorite. I liked the size of the Nikon better and was a little bit less money. It is very accurate and the stabilization is great. Easy to turn off the slope for competition and light indicator let's competitors know it's off.

[6x] I've owned some of the most popular rangefinders and used most of the rest at one time or another while playing golf with others. As a longtime Canon user, I was happy they jumped into this category with their optics and technology.
As a rangefinder:
+ Locks onto pin with prism immediately. -Faster than all the rest I've ever used, it's actually quite surprising how fast it locks on.
+ Unit vibrates when lock is established.
+ Numbers are crisp and easy to see in viewfinder. Integrated diopter adjustment for those who need it like me.
+ Unit is small, lightweight and fits in back pocket - I mostly walk while playing and wanted a small form factor. Always wondered why most of them are not smaller. Not an issue in my hand to hold steady while taking readings with image stabilization.
+ Rechargeable battery via USB C (no more searching for CR2s). Battery charge icon is lit in viewfinder each time unit is utilized.
+ Zoom function is handy to located far targets and even help identify golf balls- was on the tee side of a creek and wasn't sure whose ball carried the hazard. Used the zoom function to identify the ball from 20 yards away.
+Canon menu is simple to navigate and set the unit/change and modify.
+ Camera is an added bonus; I did not purchase it for that function but have used it and works to my expectations with a small handheld device. Same with the video.
- Only option that some will miss is the internal magnet that other brands have to enable the unit to be put on the support bar of a golf car and help you forget your rangefinder after golf.

[Monocular] This rangefinder is very accurate and easy to use. Well built and light ! It also comes with a pouch perfectly designed to wear in case you are walking. Certainly Nikon did a great job and it is less expensive than similar equipments.
Buy it with confident! You'll not regret it !

[6x] This Nikon Laser 50 is better than the 4K Black. I now have both, and did an AB test on them.

They range exactly the same, at about 3700 yards each(best case) and about 1900 on trees.

The main difference is the L50 has a Magnesium case, and will display angle or compensated yardage in the display.

The Laser 50 also comes with a 5 year warranty.

I'm not sure why Nikon called it a 50, and not a 4K Black mark II, but this performs exactly the same as the old 4k Black.

[Monocular] After struggling with an older model Bushnell range finder, I bought the CoolShot PROII. Nikon has incorporated some great features into a small, lightweight device. The easy-to-read display delivers clear information quickly and efficiently. After just a couple of holes on my first day of use, it was clear to me the CoolShot PROII would help me with my game!

[6x] This is the 4th rangefinder I have purchased over the last 25 years or so...And this is by far the best.

Nikon quality optics, clear display, light weight and very accurate. I have purchased other name brand RF, but this one, especially when bought while on sale...surpasses them all.
New features, e.g., slope measurement, flagstick lock-on and variable brightness settings are great.
I highly recommend this laser rangefinder.
