The INOGENI Toggle Rooms 3-Host USB HDMI Switcher Hubfrom INOGENI Toggle Rooms 3-Host USB HDMI Switcher Hubis a switcher and extension kit to connect up to five laptops and/or computers for display onto a monitor, sharing device, or meeting livestream. The kit consists of a Room PC hub and a Laptop extension hub to connect your devices and extend them to different parts of larger rooms. The system supports up to UHD 4K (4096 x 2160) video I/O, and the laptop hub can extend your 4K video connection up to 132' and 1080p video up to 230' away from the Room PC hub via HDBaseT using a Cat 6a cable.

The Room PC hub features one HDMI and three USB-A device inputs, an HDMI sharing port output, an HDMI monitor output as well as USB-B + HDMI host connections. It also features Ethernet and RS-232 management ports to switch sources remotely. The Laptop hub connects to the Room PC hub via HDBaseT and features one USB-C input with 100W charge, a USB-B input, and an HDMI input for laptops, and two USB-A inputs for devices such as cameras or webcams. Its HDMI output can connect to a display or a laptop for HDMI ingest.

Short review: I wanted to find a USB switcher I didn't have to worry (or even think) about at all. This is it. Long review: for context for the rest of this review, my use case is to switch a common set of USB devices (keyboard, mouse, and USB audio device) between a desktop and a laptop. I bought this unit after having a poor experience with a much cheaper USB sharing switch from another manufacturer. This other unit lasted about two years, then started to fail to switch between host computers, and also seemed to be allowing voltage from one host to pass through to the other. I'm not one to risk damage to the valuable computers I've got hooked up to these switches. I got rid of that unit, did some research, and picked this one up based on some other folks' recommendations. This unit isn't cheap, and seems to be marketed primarily toward business use cases, but so far it's working perfectly for my home office setup. It appears that I'm getting exactly what I hoped I was paying for: reliability and safety. I haven't had a single electrical gremlin show up since I began using this. It automatically switches the three USB devices to my laptop when I plug it in, and switches back to the desktop when I unplug my laptop. I'd recommend reading the instructions and making use of the power supply. 5

The monitor switch does EXACTLY what I need it to do. Even with different monitor settings, the switching is smooth and quick. And the little remote makes switching even easier. 5

This switch box was better than I thought it would be. It has a remote control included to switch between inputs. But as it turns out I have not needed it yet . The box automatically changes input when a device powers up. Plug and play easy install. 5

Nice and small, so easy to tuck out of the way. The inputs in the back and output on the side (right side looking at it from the front) are easy to cable manage. Automatically switches to the active input if only one input is active. 5
