The Cisco Business Dashboard is designed to manage Cisco Business switches, routers, and wireless access points. It simplifies traditional challenges in deploying and managing business networks while automating the deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of the network. The 1300 Series switches support an embedded probe as well as direct management, eliminating the need to set up a separate hardware or virtual machine onsite. The device onboarding wizard simplifies the setup and onboarding of new devices to the network.

The Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series Switches support dual images, allowing you to perform software upgrades with minimal network downtime.

Support for advanced network security applications such as IEEE 802.1X and port security tightly limits access to specific segments of your network. Advanced defense mechanisms, including dynamic Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) inspection, IP Source Guard, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) snooping, detect and block deliberate network attacks.

As the IP address scheme evolves to accommodate a growing number of network devices, the Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series Switches can support the transition to the next generation of networking. These switches continue to support previous-generation IPv4, allowing you to evolve to the new IPv6 standard at your own pace and helping ensure that your current network will continue to support your business applications in the future.

The Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series Switches enable a more advanced set of traffic management capabilities to help growing businesses organize their networks more effectively and efficiently. For example, the switches provide dynamic Layer 3 routing, allowing you to segment your network into workgroups and communicate across VLANs without degrading application performance.

This switch supports Front Panel Stacking for up to eight switches, allowing you to configure, manage, and troubleshoot all switches in a stack as a single unit with a single IP address.

The sleek and compact design for the Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series Switches provides additional deployment flexibility, including installation outside the wiring closet for sites such as retail stores, open-plan offices, and classrooms without disturbing the environment.

[Yes] We have used the Cisco SG series switches for many years and were disappointed when the line was discontinued but the new CBS line is just as good. Some minor variations in how the software is laid out but otherwise, they are just as easy to use as the SG line.

[357.14 Mpps] All or our traffice will now traverse through this 10GB highway. This is our network migration to a 10GB backbone. Pretty awesome for a Catholic church.

[1 GB DDR4] It works great. Bear in mind that while you can use 10GBASE-T copper adapters, the switch can only handle up to 4 of them due to power and heat. Same with DAC cables. You can mix and match DAC and 10GBASE-T up to 4 total. Ports support 802.3ad/LAG/LACP so you can aggregate uplinks from the older G1 Unifi switches as well.

All in all, it does what it says, it's passively cooled and pairs well with a Dream Machine Pro/SE.

[480 Gb/s ] Just plugged it in and UniFi found it, upgraded it, and had it working.
It would be nice if it had some 10G BaseT ports, since 10GBaste T SFP+ modules seem to be iffy at best.
Unifi really needs to add more available 10G switch types.

[Fan] Bought to aggregate between 10G and 1G switches. Used with the correct UniFi modules (DAC and SFP+ modules) the switch just works. I have not had to touch any of the negotiated speeds between 10G and 1G UniFi switches.

[1 GB DDR4] This is one of very few fanless 10G switches, for barely more than a 1G switch. Seems to work fine so far. If you don't already have a running 10G network to connect it to, you will need to use a 1000Base-T SFP to connect it to your existing infrastructure so you can set it up, in my case to manually set the speed of the uplink to a SFP (not SFP+) switch down to 1G otherwise it would not negotiate.
