A: This may work for your needs, however it is really designed as more of an A/V Matrix Switcher and not for use in Broadcast Applications. You would be better off looking at the Blackmagic Design Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12 x 12, B&H # BLSVHCS1212. It has SDI connections, which most Blackmagic Switchers have as well. [3 x 3 x 1"] I use a Logitec Harmony hub control for TV, cable TV, Netflix, music from Internet sent to amplifier and speakers, etc. The Shynybow selector (love that name) has very little conflict with other IR controlled devices, a problem I had with previous audio or AV switches. Out of the 4 inputs, only input no 1 control would conflict with the TV on/off. That left inputs 2,3,4 for which IR commands did not interfere with other devices (I only need 2 inputs in my setup). Great. Works well. 5

[3 x 3 x 1"] The SB-5440 solved my RCA switching problems. The unit is of very solid build. Great quality switches and connectors. No pops when used. Unit is quiet and just feels professional. This replaced my Rotary passive selector, which at times would pop while selecting. No more, the Shinybow works flawlessly. I thought it a bit pricey, but I see now it was good value, it's a pleasure to have good, solid equipment in my system, working properly everyday. 5

[3 x 3 x 1"] Before using this distribution amp I had a high quality passive splitter coming out of my cable box, and from there going 1) to a TV in the same room and 2) to a monitor in my home office that I occasionally use to watch TV while multitasking. The passive splitter caused the picture to dim and look a little bit dull, but it was still watchable. Once I installed this distribution amp in place of the passive splitter the picture looks clear and perfect on both monitors, just as though each was getting the signal coming directly out of the cable box. No loss of video quality at all, which is exactly what I was hoping from this unit. It delivers! In addition it is small and easy to place. I am very happy with the purchase. 5
