The Shinybow SB-101C IR Emitter Transmitter Cableis designed for use with Shinybow devices. It consists of an IR Emitter / Transmitter and a 6 ft cable with an emitter on one end and TRS connector on the other. No configuration is required when connecting into your Shinybow device.

Q: 1. This may seem counter-intuitive. While I know I can use a cable with Canon cameras, I would still like to use the IR accessory not the cable. Some Canon cameras do have that option. Canons are not listed among the compatible cameras but I suspect the listi is not really for the compatible camera list, but the cameras that would HAVE to use the IR.So: can I use the IR accessory with a IR capable Canon camera ? Thanks !

A: While I was unable to find definitive information, what I came away with is that if your camera can be tripped by IR, this will work. However, as former motion picture camera assistant I would hasten to recommend using the hard wire set up as being more reliable.

Q: 2. I have a ONKYO AV receiver HT-R 391 in a cabinet and Remote do not work if the door is closed do you think this will work with this receiver?

A: yes. it's internal part (ir diode) is the same part in all receivers.However, you MUST have a remote jack./ port.

Q: 3. Are the outputs independent, ie, can 2 different input go to 2 different outputs?

A: Yes, with this you can have 2 different inputs (up to 4) and then switch any 2 signals to 2 outputs.

Q: 4. will this work with a Yamaha receiver, rx-v757 ?

A: No it will not support Yamaha products: Supports NEC/RC5/RC6/Zenith Codes Supports Grunding/RCA/Sony 12-bit Codes

Q: 5. Will this provide a clean signal to run a 200 foot cable?

A: I've never tried one that long. It's worked great on sorter runs that we use. Are's are typically 50 to 100 foot cables.

Q: 6. Q1:Does it distribute video signal with timecode embedded ? Q2: Does it distribute timecode/ genlock signal from a third timecode or genlock generator?

A: No, The Shinybow 1 x 4 Composite Video Distribution Amplifier would not pass or support timecode/Genlock.

Q: 7. Can I use multiple sets of HDMI extenders?

A: These devices are one to one extenders. there is no way to multicast from 1 video transmitter to multiple receivers or for 1 receiver to accept video from multiple transmitters.

Q: 8. What exactly does this cord goes to?

A: This cable has an emitter on one end and TRS connector on the other. This cable is designed for use with Shinybow devices

Q: 9. Does this work with an A7 Mk II?

A: It works fine with the Sony A7s. Should also work generel with Sony Cameras. Subject not on the IR Controller. The settings are in the SYRP genie!

[6 ft (1.8 m)] The SB-5440 solved my RCA switching problems. The unit is of very solid build. Great quality switches and connectors. No pops when used. Unit is quiet and just feels professional. This replaced my Rotary passive selector, which at times would pop while selecting. No more, the Shinybow works flawlessly. I thought it a bit pricey, but I see now it was good value, it's a pleasure to have good, solid equipment in my system, working properly everyday. 5

[0.07 lb] I use a Logitec Harmony hub control for TV, cable TV, Netflix, music from Internet sent to amplifier and speakers, etc. The Shynybow selector (love that name) has very little conflict with other IR controlled devices, a problem I had with previous audio or AV switches. Out of the 4 inputs, only input no 1 control would conflict with the TV on/off. That left inputs 2,3,4 for which IR commands did not interfere with other devices (I only need 2 inputs in my setup). Great. Works well. 5

[0.07 lb] In our DIY built video studio I use this switch to easily jump from Audio input to Audio input to a single headphone. I had used a cluster of AB switches that just got replaced with this switch. Life is good. The price is right and the performance is excellent. 5
