The 5-pack DK-CM5 1/2" Divider Kit Set from Porta Brace is a set of five soft and bendable 1/2" foam pads covered in soft, copper-colored Veltex. Each divider secures tightly to any Portabrace case that has a Veltex lining or touch fastener divider strips. The foam protects your equipment during transport and the soft Veltex lining provides an extra layer of scratch-resistant protection.

A: While we have not tried it, you are correct regarding the dimensions and see no issues of it working.

A: This is not compatible with the 1626 Air case.

Q: 5. Does anyone use this with a laptop below? I am wanting to have my macbook below and then my camera gear on top. If you do what sort of laptop do you store below? Thanks in advance

A: The dividers work well for vertical separation but would be more challenging to configure for items laid flat. I've used it with an I-Pad and placed a layer of foam on top of the pad - but didn't place lenses or cameras on top because of the space limitation. It would work better in my Pelican 1510 w/divider set. That would give more space to separate hard items from the computer.

A: No, it does not fit the Porta Brace PB-2550 case.

A: This divider kit is available as a special order item. It will ship 3-5 weeks after date of purchase.

Q: 8. The exterior dimensions indicated for the divider set are larger than the interior dimensions of the 1620 case. Does it fit?

A: Hi AdaI bought this product a few years back and had no issues at all. Works great and fits perfectly. Make sure you have a Pelican 1620 case. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Q: 9. Does the recessed nature of the u lock mechanism work with pelican case style latch / latch protectors?

A: It worked great, as long as its turned the correct way. It will not swing freely in the latch.

Q: 10. Does the height of this include the thickness of the convoluted foam lid or is it just the height of the divider? Thanks!

A: It is just the height of the divider. This is a kit for the Pelican 1520 Series Cases and fits perfectly. On other cases the fit is not guaranteed.

[9 x 8 x 5"] I bought this to divide the 2750 case instead of using the foam. I can put 2 Canon xf300s in the case with plenty of room for batteries, cards microphones, etc. Using the foam is very limiting. The cameras and accessories stay in place and if configured properly the equipment doesn't shift. The only negative is the dividers only have velcro on 3 sides which limits how you can use them. 5

[0.6 lb] If you have lenses that need protection these are great. I use the less padded ones for Zacuto handheld rig pieces. They are great for organizing and keeping everything looking new. 5

[0.6 lb] They're little but do their job. By no means a heavy duty lock but will keep your pelicans closed turning travel and keep people from tampering with your cases. Ordered a few sets of these and wasn't sure why they come with a bag but after packing my gear we used all the bags for random parts. Worth the buy if you'd like a little more peace of mind when flying with your gear. 5

[0.6 lb] You can cut these into the lengths you want and then wrap the velcro around the edges and put in your portabrace bag. The dividers are very sturdy. 5

[9 x 8 x 5"] These dividers fit the bill exactly by being of the Porta Brace quality I've been relying on for over 8 years now. The Velcro tabs can also be moved to the bottom of the pad if you need to attach at those points. 5

[9 x 8 x 5"] I originally thought these bags would be a bit flimsy but no, I can put two clams in them and they hold up very well in a case full of light stands and accessories. The locks are good quality and easily fit on all my ThinkTank and Pelican cases. 5
