A: Hi, the new macs do not have firewire ports anymore. New Macs now only have USB and Thunderbolt ports. However, you can purchase an inexpensive adapter that changes firewire (400 or 800) to Thunderbolt. I use one for and older PreSonus audio interface on my MacPro and it seems to be working fine.

( Just examine the case INTERIOR dimensions and you'll see what I mean,when you compare that with the exterior dimensions of the MacBook Pro 13 and 15 inch models. You CAN fit the 13 inch MacBook Pro, AND its power supply cord into the case, together, just barely, and with no additional room to spare. The case is very durable and superior for protection, but it's a very tight fit, when it comes to the MacBook Pros.
