Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you reconfigure the compartments in the bag so the camera body is kept at the base and not the top of the bag? That seems bad for balance....

A: Not really because interior gets shallower the closer you get to the top of the bag. As such, you can't just turn the center dividers around because they're cut to accommodate the changing depth of the interior.

Q: 2. Could I also carry a 13 laptop in here along with a DSLR and lenses?

A: I finally found this backpack. It does not have a computer slot though I did test my 13 laptop in the large lens compartment side without lenses in the pack. With an ultra slim hard case it is possibility that it could fit.Hope this helps-

Q: 3. Will this bag hold a Nikon d700 with Nikon 24-120mm f4 lens attached, including/excluding hood?

A: Yes, Ruggard Outrigger 45 Backpack (Black) BH #RUPBB145B will hold Nikon D700 with Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens BH #NI241204GAF both including and excluding the hood.

Q: 4. What is the largest laptop size this backpack will fit?

A: The Lowepro Tahoe BP150 Backpack does not have a laptop compartment. It does have a tablet compartment that is 9.45 x 0.79 x 10.43".

Q: 5. I wonder where a travel tripod would fit in the bag, like a Sirui T-005BK? Maybe I can stick it in the stretch-mesh side pockets? But will the pocket breaks easily after a few uses?

A: Yes, the side of the bag will hold a small tripod using the clasped strap but the mesh pocket may not hold up as long as you would like.

Q: 6. Does a Nikon AF Zoom-NIKKOR 80-200mm f/2.8D ED Lens fits ok???? or I need to go to a RUGGARD OUTRIGGER 65 Backpack

A: The interior base to height is about 14 inches. If you pull out all the interior foam separators the width at the base of the interior is about 10.5 inches and tapers to a curved top that is narrower. Depends on what camera you have it attached to and the full length/width of your lens plus camera body. I can fit a D750 with an f4 70-200 lens attached, plus a Nikon 5000 speedlight flash and a couple of gadgets inside with the separators still intact. But a battery pack etc would change the dynamics. I find the pack easy to wear and like the non-camera pockets for other items. I am a petite female so I don't know how long the straps go for a taller torso, but I wear it nearly all the way tightened so definitely some room to lenghten strap.

Q: 7. Does this include a rain cover?

A: No, the Lowepro Tahoe BP150 Backpack (Black) does not include a rain cover.

Q: 8. Is the waist strap removable?

A: Yes, the waist strap can be removed from the Tenba Roadie Backpack 22 (Black).

Q: 9. Will this bag hold a Z9 with 500PF attached with room for a Z100-400 also?

A: No the bag does not have the interior height to hold a gripped camera body like the Nikon Z9 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 10. Could this keep my gear warm while skiing?

A: Yes it does and it will do the job you want it to for skiing. However, there are other backpacks that would be better suited for you in regards to skiing. I have noticed with this bag that its a bit bulky so getting on and off chairlifts can be anoying because you have to take off and put on the back pack everytime ou get to a lift. Also, it can be a bit difficult to ski with at times, I noticed this more if I didn't have the strap size right, but it doesn't have a waist strap so it has a tendency to bounce a little more. Also every time you want to get your camera out of the bag you have to take it off and lay it in the snow which can be annoying.Overall this is a good backpack and it will do the job you want it to. However, there are other back packs that would be better suited for you, especially if you wanted one specifically for skiing. Id recommend a sling bag or one that has a wait and chest strap, and can be easily accessible and wont get in your way skiing.

[Tech Panels] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are having trouble keeping wires, charges, and cords organized then Thule power shuttle is a must have. It's compact but it's big enough to fit your items in but small enough to travel with. The quality is great and it feels really sturdy. So many compartments within it.

[Zipper] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ready for some hiking or International traveling? This Thule backpack has it all with the storage compartments inside. Now you can bring both your computer and tablet with peace of mind they will be protected within. You could even bring two water bottles for a hike and stay well hydrated. Sorry the kitchen sink will not fit inside but you will be surprised at all that can fit. The material is sturdy and rich feeling for texture. The price may seem steep but for how well it is made and the usefulness I would recommend it for all you adventure enthusiasts!

[Tech Panels] I use this mainly for work. I'm a VP of sales taking flights around the US 4 6 times a month and this bag fits my laptop, work supplies, reading book for the plane, umbrella and rain coat no problem while being sleek enough to fit under the seat in front on the plane. I prefer the backpack design to the messenger bag as a personal preference and this backpack is classic enough to function as a work bag in a office environment.

[Zipper] I commute into Manhattan everyday so my packs take a beating but I keep getting Thule packs because they're the most durable. This is my third Thule pack only because they keep coming out with cool new styles that I really like. All my packs are still in great shape. I even purchased the Thule luggage since the packs were holding up so well and that hasn't disappointed.
