Q: 6. what waist size does the waist strap fit. I am a petite female and with less than a 30 inch waist find that many backpacks at the tightest setting are still too loose?

A: From testing with one of the bags at the store, at its tightest/the shortest extension, the waist straps measured a circumference of 75cm / 29.56" and its longest/loosest, it measured 166cm / 65.3". These measurements were done with a measuring tape, but could be off a few centimeters/fractions of an inch.
