Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do the Zeiss Milvus lenses come with lens gears?

A: The ZEISS Milvus 50mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF does not include lens gears. This is what is included: Front and Rear Lens Caps Lens Hood Limited 2-Year Warranty

Q: 2. is it a macro lens?

A: The Milvus 1.4/50 ZF.2 has a magnification ratio of 1:6.7, whereas most macro lenses are designated at 1:2 or 1:1 (half life size and actual life size respectively). For macro use, we recommend the Milvus 2/50 ZF.2 - which can be found at: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1185213-REG/zeiss_2096_558_milvus_2_50m_zf_2_lens.html

Q: 3. Is this lens fully compatible with the Nikon F6 film camera?

A: For a list of compatible cameras, please visit the ZEISS website using the link below: a href= https://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/int/photography/content/camera-mounts.html target= _blank https://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/int/photography/content/camera-mounts.html/a

Q: 4. Can the aperture ring be controlled in camera?

A: If you set/lock the lens to its minimum aperture setting on the lens, then yes, you can control the aperture via the control on the camera body.

Q: 5. Is this a non-CPU lens?

A: This is a CPU lens, but only for metering and manual focus.

Q: 6. Is anyone using this lens on a Nikon D800? If so, how easy or hard are you finding it to nail focus where the subject is not perfectly still?

A: It takes some practice. I did a shoot recently with the milvus and I missed a lot of shots. I made it a point to keep the lens on my camera most of the time. I find using the guage in the view finder helps a lot.

Q: 7. Can the aperture ring of the F mount version be controlled when the lens is detached (i.e. when no electric conection is on the mount)?

A: Yes it can!

Q: 8. is the manual focus linear or fly by wire?

A: The ZEISS MIlvus lenses are true manual focus and do not rely on electronics or motors to focus the lens groups.

Q: 9. Whats the difference with the Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 Makro-Planar ZE Macro?

A: The Milvus 1.4/50 ZE is designed for general purpose still and video applications, whereas the Milvus 2/50M ZE is optimized for close-focus applications and offers macro magnifications of 1:2 (half life size).

Q: 10. Does this lens work manuals focus guide for Canon eos R ?

A: This lens would allow for the use of focusing peaking when adapted to a Canon EOS R.

[TouchPad] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this just before the new year. Setup was quick and easy, much like other business focused Windows machines. Since the initial setup was complete, there have been a number of updates. Machine is quick and stable even after the updates.

Surprised but with a USB hub, I am able to drive 3 external monitors. Battery life is more than acceptable even though it spends most of it's time on the desk.

Overall, pleased with this machine.

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent several weeks digging deep into computer reviews for my small business. I watched countless YouTube videos, read hundreds of comments and reviews, and landed on the ThinkPad Yoga Gen 8. I LOVE this computer. Super easy to use, intuitive, lightweight, easy to travel with, just great all around.

[3:2] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product: easy to setup and use. I love the form factor and features. read optional features carefully I got hosed on what I thought was an included nano sim slot which my product code ended up not having. It showed it in the pictures but excluded it in the comparison details which I didn't notice at purchase time.

[5.3] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with linux compatibility - most of the hardware works on Arch Linux with minimal configuration. Great build quality and finish - the lid hinge action is beautiful. Good thermal performance with the i5-1345U - for casual usage the CPU stays under 50 deg C and the fan doesn't need to run. Very happy with the linux S0ix standby performance - usually see less than 5% battery drop over 12 hours of standby. Battery life overall is acceptable.

[512 GB] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I won it with the amount of points I could have traded for a computer mouse, it's hands down better than my Alienware laptop I'm sad to say, which I loved for decades, if you're on the fence jump off they're easily worth what I would have spent..

[100% sRGB] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this laptop. My only complaint was that the Fn and the Ctrl key were switched around, so I kept hitting Fn instead of Ctrl. HOWEVER, I just learned there is a setting so that you can switch those two keys' functions, so now I can hit the Fn and it works as the Ctrl button. It is super fast and the battery lasts forever. It feels indestructible. I've previously only every owned a 17 inch laptop and was worried that the screen would feel too small, but it's actually a more convenient size.

[2] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a bit overkill for what we wanted, but for the price, I didn't want to pass it up. My wife uses it in the morning to read the news and browse other sites. I mainly use it to manage our home automation system, but also take it on trips in case we want to do some travel research and to update my Garmin GPS.
