[500 G / 1.0 ms] I almost returned this drive because I had many problems when I first started using it. Most of the time, the drive was not recognized by my Mac. When it was recognized, transfer speeds were brutally slow.

After a short chat with Crucial support, they asked if I was using the cable that came with the drive. I wasn’t. As soon as I started using the original cable, all the problems went away. Transfer speed are close to the rated values.

So far this seems to be a good drive.

[500 G / 1.0 ms] I have purchased about 30 SSDs over the past few years and none are better than this. It is lighter than my other drives and also double the storage (my other SSDs are 2TB). Highly reccomend.

[Bus Powered] Well made as a small device. All of my PC's immediately recognize it including my Linux PC. Copies files and folders fast. The only feature that could be changed would be to include a USB-C to USB-A adapter since it ships with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

[5 VDC] The good news: it holds 4TB of data and it is very small and light.

The bad news: It is slow

However If speed is not a concern, then the SSD is great.
