Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the weight of the upper pack supported by the belt and some kind of frame or does it primarily support the cube?

A: The upper pack is supported by the cross-linked foam on the inside.

Q: 2. Could this fit a dslr body with 70-200 attached, spare body, 24-70, 16-35, 35, and a DJI Mavic Pro and 2 extra batteries?

A: Yes, it should be able to fit all this gear. To give you an idea, my Kiboko 22L swallows 500mm f/4, two DSLR bodies with grips attached and 8x42 (a big one) pair of binoculars.

Q: 3. Will the 22L bag fit in the overhead of a small commuter jet? Some of those compartments are very shallow.

A: Airlines typically have a variety of planes (including various different commuter jet models), so a universal answer would not be possible. However, several users have commented that they were able to fit this backpack under the seat in a normal jet airplane. It would thus seem that you would have a good chance with the overhead commuter jet compartments. We'd recommend contacting the airline you would be using to get the dimensions of those compartments and comparing them to those of this backpack: 18.11 x 13.39 x 5.91" / 46 x 34.01 x 15.01 cm

Q: 4. can a peak design capture clip be placed on either shoulder strap?

A: Yes, the Peak Design Capture Clip can be placed on either of the shoulder straps for the Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 22L).

Q: 5. Will this bag fit a Sony FF with the 200-600 attached?

A: Yes, the Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 22L Backpack will accommodate a Sony full-frame camera and the Sony 200-600mm lens.

Q: 6. Will this hold a Sony A1 with the Sony 400-600mm attached?

A: This did not work with the A1 attached to the 600mm. However it can fit if you keep the camera unattached to the lens. I would consider looking at the 30L variant of this bag if you want it to fit attached.

Q: 7. Will a Z8, Z7ii, 180-600mm, and 24-120mm/or 105mm and batteries fit? Lens can be attached or detached.

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 22L), with some configuration of the dividers, should be able to support the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens (B&H # NIZ241204S), the Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro Lens (B&H # NIZ10528), and the Nikon Z7 II Mirrorless Camera (B&H # NIZ72). The backpack should also support the Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera (B&H # NIZ8) with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Lens (B&H # NIZ18060056) attached.

Q: 8. will the 22L fit a Nikon Z9?

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 22L) is too small for the Z9. The 30L version with no laptop sleeve is needed for a pro camera such as the Z9: https://bhpho.to/2pMlzr2

Q: 9. Can Kiboko V2.0 16L and V2.0 22L backpacks also put straps(shoulder and waist) into a zippered enclosure on the back?

A: The shoulder straps can be slipped into compartments under the back pads. The waist strap can be removed and stored wherever you like in one of the bag's compartments.

Q: 10. Can one side hold a Canon 300mm 2.8 II lens with hood (reversed)?

A: No it will not. The bag isn't deep enough.

[Yes (Included)] My wife and I both have the Thule AllTrail 25L Bag. Zero complaints. Love the style, size, pockets. Perfect bag for day hiking. Here's a photo of our bags at the top of Quandary Peak.

[Empty] Purchased this day hike bag to replace my backpack with no regrets. It got me down to Dripping Springs in the Grand Canyon and back. Light weight and easy fitting. Light weight but still rugged. I love it. Other hikers commented on it too.

[Yes (Included)] I have never owned a 15L pack but wanted to try one for hikes where I didn't need to take much with me. It was so nice to find a pack that feels sturdy with great useful features, but isn't over engineered. I was skeptical that this would be too small but I am really happy with how it has worked out. It is a great trail companion, or personal carry on while flying. I can even drape a rain coat over top, as you would climbing rope, and cinch it down with the two side straps if I want. The side water bottle sleeves fit a Nalgene bottle. I am most happy with how wide it opens up. Some bucket style lids just don't open up enough, this one allows you to see everything comfortably and access it with ease. I will say that the narrower tapering of the pack isn't the best for fitting a laptop. I would suggest the size up (25L) if you are looking for something to use more for that intention. If you are looking for a bag that has great versatile function, is comfortable to carry, made from quality material, and fits your essentials, this is a great choice.

[Empty] This bag perfect for any and all adventures. It provides just the right amount of space for extra layers, food, and all the necessities. The included rain cover is great, but the retract hydration system is my favorite. No more fussing with keeping the hose in place! This has become my go to bag for everything from commuting to the backcountry.

[Yes (Included)] I took this pack hiking every day in Glacier Montana in July. I carried 3L of water in a bladder, towel, raincoat, lunch, first aid kit, and fishing gear. This pack held up just fine in the heat, dust, rain, and hail. The quick access side pocket was convenient. My only complaint is the bottle pockets do not fit larger containers, nalgene size.

[Yes] I've been trying many forms of hydration (bottles, waist packs, and hydration packs) trying to find the best solution to actually hydrate while riding, and provide comfort and convenience, on rough trails. The Vital 3L hit the sweet spot of being super comfortable, even on demanding trails, while making it easy to drink. Sitting very low on my back, and having mesh backing, allowed me to stay much cooler than any pack I've worn, it is even cooler than some waist packs I've tried!

[Empty] Love how much variety this pack offers! From the trail to the airport, this pack really does it all. I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! It was great for travel and fit everything I needed for a plane ride and easily transitioned to a hike once I got to my destination. It really has the perfect amount of pockets - I love the front "shove it" pocket and the interior mesh pocket to keep thing organized. It also has a small pocket on the inside for its rain cover (which is included!) which came in handy while I was on my trip!

My favorite feature of the pack is the included water bladder with magnetic connection points that keeps the hydration hose secured to the backpack strap. I've never had a pack/bladder with this and I'm obsessed.

This pack has very intentional and thoughtful features and I'm stoked to have it in my gear arsenal. On top of the features, I love how stylish and clean the design on the pack is. This is now a go-to pack for me and I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of it. Cannot recommend this pack enough!

[Yes (Included)] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is the perfect airport bag! It feels incredibly sturdy, it fits a ton of stuff, and I love the little external pocket for your quick-grab items like your phone, wallet, earbuds, etc. The little external pocket actually has a zipper on the outside, of course, but it also has an internal zipper as well! So you can get to your small items quickly and conveniently either way. The fabric is also a fantastic choice for this type of bag. It’s not too precious for long-term, heavy-duty use, and it even seems somewhat water repellant. I generally trust Thule products and I would definitely buy this again!
