Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is Accessory Pouch size? It changes between VEO active 46 or 53?

A: The dimensions for the accessory pouch included with Vanguard VEO Active 49 Backpack (Gray) are 6 x 8.5 x 1.5 inches.

Q: 2. Does the bag have metal feet

A: No, there is nothing on the bottom.

Q: 3. can you please tell me how much the vest weighs.thx

A: The Humvee by CampCo Safari Photo Vest in Large weighs approximately 1.70 pounds.

Q: 4. I wear women's XL what size wouldn't I need in men's size. I will be wearing it over a packable down jacket in winter?

A: I wear a women's 18/20 and have the men's extra large. I would not be able to wear a down jacket with it, only a wool or flannel shirt with it (not insulated). I really wish they would design these for women as well. Since we are shaped different, men's clothing just don't fit right.

Q: 5. I own a Fujifilm x-e2 with a 18-55 lens, later certainly one or two other lens and a flashlight, and I want to buy a Billingham bag. I hesitate between the Hadley small, L2, f2.8, Leica M and Hadley pro. Who can help me finding the best model (not too big, not too wide, with possibly additional pockets)?

A: The Leica M bag would accommodate your camera and lens and a couple additional medium size lenses. It would not accommodate a 55-200 as one of three lenses in the bag. The front pocket is a decent size for accessories, battery , flash etc, Beautiful bag,

Q: 6. Can I fit my Canon 100-400 lens in any pocket?

A: Unfortunately, this vest could not accommodate a Canon EF 100-400mm lens safely.

Q: 7. Where can I find this in Medium in Olive drab

A: The Humvee by CampCo Safari Photo Vest, Medium (Olive Drab), B&H # CAVSMO, has been discontinued and is no longer available. It is currently only available in medium in either black or khaki. http://bhpho.to/1n5l0zI

Q: 8. The interior size is 9.63 x 4.25 x 5.75 but I was curious if it would fit an Ipad. It looks like a sleeve for it but just may be the way the photo was shot. Anyone having the bag tried to fit an Ipad in it?

A: I have an i-Pad Mini which fits perfectly well inside this beautiful Leica bag. However, I only use this bag for my M240 and three other lenses without the i-Pad. Too much exposure to dropping the lenses while deploying the bag for the i-Pad holder.

Q: 9. Will this bag hole a Leica M10-R and lens with Visoflex attached plus 3 additional M lenses, and Flash?

A: Yes, your gear should fit in this bag.

Q: 10. Is it a right side zipper?

A: Yes, the slide pull is on the right-hand side.

[Empty] I took this pack hiking every day in Glacier Montana in July. I carried 3L of water in a bladder, towel, raincoat, lunch, first aid kit, and fishing gear. This pack held up just fine in the heat, dust, rain, and hail. The quick access side pocket was convenient. My only complaint is the bottle pockets do not fit larger containers, nalgene size.

[Yes] So far, I love the backpack. It's compact, lightweight, and the quality is exceptional. Plus, it offers plenty of compartments to accommodate all my needs.

[Yes] I've used this bag nearly everyday for the past seven years and it is just now getting broken in.

It has been my go-to daily bag since getting it in college. Hauling laptop and books to classes, messenger bag for day-long cycling adventures around the city, personal-item airport travel bag, road trip "essentials" bag, and a daily bag for commuting to-and-from work. I've used the bag in so many ways without any issues with zippers, material/fabric, velcro, buckles or straps. It's remarkable that the bag is just now beginning to look like it has been well loved.

I'm a sucker for purchasing new bags for my gear closet, but this one is so versatile and such a great UX I can't come to terms to replace it as my daily bag.

[2.465 lb] I was looking for a backpack that would look sleek for work and that could work out as a 2-3 day trip backpack. After looking all around and ordering backpacks from other places, I finally found the one with the Subterra.

Pros:
- Good quality material
- Super comfortable, the back is super padded which is amazing
- Lots of pockets which was something I was looking for
- Easy access back pocket which was been super useful in the subway to get my Kindle out or to quickly get your laptop out
- Design. I love that it looks pretty thin and sleek if you don’t put many things on it (for work). Other backpacks would keep a bulky structure even if they were basically empty
- Big opening zipper is great for packing it up for travel
- Pretty expandable and big of you really fill it up (I think it is more than 25 L)

Cons
- I’ve realized it is sometimes hard to buckle it while closing.
- It only has one outer pocket (i.e. you need to unbuckle it to reach all the other pockets). Would be great if the Velcro flap in the front could be used without having to unbuckle the top.
- As mentioned in other reviews, the outer pocket opens to the outside, which in certain positions feels as if the inside could fall. Never happened to me but I understand it could.

I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons given the research

[Empty] Have had this bag for my three years in college. It's amazing! My first pro is the quality of material. It has yet to show any wear or tear. I thought that the plastic buckle clips might break after a lot of use but haven't to this day. The bag is great for a laptop, books, pens, cables, and a lot more. You can fit more in it than you think.

I've also used the bag a lot of travel and if you have extra items that don't fit in the bag, the cover flap can be used to store those larger items securely.

Only negative thought I have is, like many others have said, it's very difficult for the bag to remain upright freely. This is something you get used to over time as you simply lean it against a chair leg or wall, nothing serious.

Overall, very satisfied with this bag and would recommend to anyone in school or constantly on the go for business.

[Yes] Love how much variety this pack offers! From the trail to the airport, this pack really does it all. I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! It was great for travel and fit everything I needed for a plane ride and easily transitioned to a hike once I got to my destination. It really has the perfect amount of pockets - I love the front "shove it" pocket and the interior mesh pocket to keep thing organized. It also has a small pocket on the inside for its rain cover (which is included!) which came in handy while I was on my trip!

My favorite feature of the pack is the included water bladder with magnetic connection points that keeps the hydration hose secured to the backpack strap. I've never had a pack/bladder with this and I'm obsessed.

This pack has very intentional and thoughtful features and I'm stoked to have it in my gear arsenal. On top of the features, I love how stylish and clean the design on the pack is. This is now a go-to pack for me and I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of it. Cannot recommend this pack enough!

[Empty] I've had this bag since 2019, now over 5 years on it's still my everyday bag for laptop/work as well as light travel/carry-on or riding my bike around town. It's showing almost no signs of wear despite the regular use and I'm thrilled with it! The only small complaint I have that I've been dealing with since the beginning is the strange decision to recess the clips on the front flap so I can't actually grab them to snap them. I still find myself clawing at them from the sides and pushing sideways just to get enough purchase on them to provide resistance for the snap. Such a strange design. But, like I said, the durability and functionality of the bag in every other way overshadows that minor issue.

[Empty] My wife and I both have the Thule AllTrail 25L Bag. Zero complaints. Love the style, size, pockets. Perfect bag for day hiking. Here's a photo of our bags at the top of Quandary Peak.

[2.465 lb] Great daily backpack for short hikes! It is so stylish and comfortable, I don't feel any back strain. It has well-designed pockets. There is a small access pocket on shoulder strap, although phone doesn't fit there. Holders for your hiking poles. And this backpack is truly water-resistant.
