Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with new blackmagic pocket camera 4k?

A: DJI has stated that this gimbal is for DSLR and Mirrorless cameras. It does have a 7.9 pound load capacity and the Pocket Cinema 4K will have a smaller form factor, so they may work together. However we are going to need to wait for both to be released and tested together to see if the combo works.

Q: 2. Is the DJI Ronin-S compatible with the Lumix dmc-gx8?

A: You will be able to balance and shoot with a camera like the Lumix DMC-GX8. However it is not on DJI's list of compatible cameras for electronic control at this time. https://bit.ly/2S6yT9s

Q: 3. I own a Nikon D750 with 24-120 mm lens, including 35, 85 and 50 mm fixed aperture lenses. Is this stabilizer appropriate for my kit with these lenses or is it really more suited for a mirrorless camera?

A: The Ronan-S has an 8 lb Payload, which makes it suitable for DSLR cameras like the D750.

Q: 4. Can I use it for my Canon 1DXii

A: Yes, the Ronin-S is fully compatible with the Canon EOS-1DX Mark II.

Q: 5. A few questions pertaining to the canon 80D:-With a standard 18-135 usm lens thats included with the canon 80D, will it be able to be balanced?-Will the Ronin S be able to connect to the Canon 80D and wirelessly start and stop video with the record button on the ronin s?-will half pressing the record button on the ronin S re-autofocus the Canon 80D?-will the focus wheel module built into the Ronin s be able to pull focus of the 18-135 USM lens connected to the 80D?

A: The 18-135mm is not on DJI's list of tested lenses. It may work, but they have not yet tested the lens on the Ronin-S. You will be able to start and stop recording through the Ronin-S, take photos and it will pull focus.

Q: 6. Does it work for Nikon D500 + Nikon 16-35 mm len?

A: Yes, this will be able to balance and shoot with a D500 and that lens.

Q: 7. Necesito saber el valor del equipo...si el precio que Uds informan es en dolares ?gracias por su repuesta.. Cuca

A: S, los precios que se muestran en B & H son en dlares.

Q: 8. I will be using this with the canon 1DXMii.1. Will I be able to use all full functions with my camera like Timelapse?2. Which cable do I need to connect my camera to the Ronin-S?3. Do I need a specific quick release plate to mount my camera to gimbal? Which plate do you recommend what dimensions ?

A: From the manufacturer, Thank you for contacting DJI technical support.Upon checking Canon EOS-1D X Mark II is compatible with Ronin-S use the MCC Type B cable to make it work. You can also enjoy the pull focus feature by using the agreed and compatible lens that show on the picture below. All feature will work please use the link below to view manual on how to use the other featuresa href= https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/Ronin-S/Ronin-S%20User%20Manual_v1.0.pdfFinally. target= _blank https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/Ronin-S/Ronin-S%20User%20Manual_v1.0.pdfFinally./a The following Quick-Release plate would allow you to mount your camera to the gimbal. E-Image EH6P Quick Release Plate B&H # EIEH6P MFR # EH6P.From CanonThank you for contacting Canon regarding your customer's questions about using the EOS-1D X Mark II with the Ronin-S. I will be glad to assist. Here at Canon technical support, we don't have extensive details about how our equipment will work with accessories we don't make. Nor can I claim to be an expert on how the DJI Ronin-S works. That said, I will answer based on the specs I've seen for that device. As far as I can tell, the gimbal does not seem to override the camera's menu options or other features, so someone should still be able to do a timelapse by connecting the optional TC-80N3 to the camera's N3 port on the side. While some of our cameras have built-in time-lapse capabilities, the EOS-1D X Mark II does not. That said, I wouldn't recommend doing a time lapse on a gimbal, since gimbals are designed to allow for fluid motion, while time-lapses work best when the camera is locked down on a sturdy mount. The specs on the Ronin-S indicate that it has mounting that allows a 1 x 1/4 -20 Female Thread, which is what the camera uses. As far as I can tell, you shouldn't need other cables to connect the camera, but you may wish to check with DJI to see if they have additional recommendations. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.Thank you for contacting Canon, and I hope you have a good day. Sincerely,NickTechnical Support Representative

Q: 9. Has anyone heard anything on battery life!?

A: I have had the privilege to use multiple beta Ronin-S units and I got anywhere from 8-10 hours depending on the payload. Final specs will be released shortly.

Q: 10. Does it support object tracking?

A: Currently the Ronin-S doesn't have Active Track technology like the Osmo Mobile 2 or DJI drones. However, in future firmware and software updates there will always be new features added.

[Universal] Exactly what I was looking for along with the usual Nanuk high quality design and construction. Just one note if you're using Nanuk TSA locks - they're a tight fit but will lock closed when they're installed upside-down together with a little pressure.

[51.92 lb] Picked up this case for my Cine 13 4K monitor on a daily deal for $179. Fits everything, has quiet wheels, 2 stage adjustable handle, and good build quality.

My only gripe was that some portions of the foam weren't cut precisely so plucking them in certain parts wasn't as clean.

[Latch] I've always used Pelican cases but when I went into B&H to check out hardshell cases, I was drawn to the Nanuk wheeled cases. The latches are great and the handle is much easier to work with.

[Black] We love the Nanuk cases. They just feel superior to other cases we've tried over the years. The Nanuk 975 is no exception. It is humongous and lives up to the quality we expect from Nanuk.

Personally, I also appreciate the cubed foam, but have a love/hate relationship with the complexity of cutting the foam to the exact dimensions of the products you're storing in the case. I suggest using a long box cutter style blade to help get through the entirety of the thick foam that comes with this case.

[Black] I usually wait for flash deals/sales on cases from Nanuk and the other guys. These cases can really take a beating. I love it. I haven't always been a fan of their pluck and peel foam because it never separates cleanly. These cases were different, however. I'm not sure if they changed their formula or what, but these pulled apart easy like the other big name brand cases. I love the color options too. I just wish they were all the same price, which is not always the case.

[51.92 lb] I hate how great it is because I ended up loading it with gear up to 75lbs and it's a bit heavy but I just love how versatile it is and that I can have a camera and acs, wireless and tools and it's organized. It's really well designed and laid out and I am very happy with the purchase.

[Black] I love this case. It's sturdy and does what it's supposed to do. I have a bunch of Pelican cases and this one holds up pretty well. No noticeable quality difference after using it for about a month.
I do have to say tho, the accessories for these cases are pricey for no reason.

[Latch] I think these should be the top rated cases.

[Black] I have been looking for a rolling hard case for a few months now and when BH had this on their Deals I immediately bought it and I knew I made a good purchase. The case is good and I love that PowerClaw latch doesn't snap your fingers off.

[Universal] This is just what I needed. I am tired of hoping to get overhead space on a plane and now I can put my camera backpack in the case and it goes as checked luggage. It is safe and I have less stress when beginning a photo trip.
