Q: 3. What is the maximum amount of weight the device wilB support before it begins to slip around the ball ?

A: This is a very strong system, it hold all size iPads with no problem. You will be surprised on how strong this is.

Q: 4. I have a Canon G7X with the leather case that is designed for it however I prefer a vertical drop in case (as this one) instead of the horizontal drop in. Will they case fit the G7X?

A: This case will be too small for the G7 X, unfortunately.

Q: 5. Will this stand work with a 10" round Atlas base?

A: The K&M Microphone Stand & Tube Combination (Black) will not work with the round base from an Atlas stand because the Atlas MS-20E round base threading is 1 1/8" x 27 and the 21950 adapter for the K&M Microphone Stand & Tube Combination (Black) uses M20 threading.

Q: 6. Is the weight correct for this stand? It currently says 12.1 lbs, but the package weight is much less.

A: According to K&M, the mic stand weighs 12.159 lbs.

Q: 7. What is the diameter of the threaded hole in stand?

A: The thread size at the top of the mic stand shaft (where you would attach the mic) is 5/8"-27. The thread size on the round weighted stand base should be 7/8"-27.

Q: 8. Does this fit the SX710?

A: It will but not room for an extra battery.

Q: 9. Will this work being plugged directly into Roland r-26 recorder without further power?

A: The Roland R-26 recorder will supply the required Phantom Power needed for this microphone.

Q: 10. what stops the popping when singing?

A: The AE 3300 has a metal mesh grill which is foam lined to give you 2 stage protection from popping and sibilance.

[39.4 lb] This mic stand is heavy but it feels like it will last forever! We bought a couple earlier this year and just added a few more to the studio because of how reliable and sturdy they are. They seem to be able to hold just about any sort of mic or piece of equipment we've tried putting on it with no question it would remain stable and strong. Highly recommend, especially for permanent setups! 5

[Black] This boom stand is super stable, very adjustable, sturdy, solid, well built and yes, it will collapse down to a more convenient package for travel when compared to other large studio mic stands. I was really tired of using boom mics on stages when they are required to reach to their fullest extension, because, you know, they get knocked over, even when folks are careful. So I have a pile of sand bags to keep the Atlas and K&M boom stands stable. But what about the vocal mic for the pianist at the grand piano?---there are not many boom stand options that can actually reach the vocalist who is playing piano and at the same time get the heck out of the way. The Latch Lake MicKing 1100 sure can. This is a mic stand you acquire for an entire career. It is everything you wish your other boom stands would be, and there are a lot of other nice boom stands, but this one is better. Caveat: it is heavy. A big full of these? Ummm... not so much. Do not expect to easily travel with more than a couple of the MicKing 1100 stands. These should be used in tandem with a variety of other more light weight stands for on stage, reserving the 1100 for special tasks, like drum over head, vocal mic for a pianist, for use of a larger, heavy microphone and that sort of thing. And yes, absolutely yes, the MicKing 1100 is an excellent studio choice as well. In fact, for my preference, this style mic stand is better than the large studio stands with wheels. 5

[55 x 20 x 10"] Obtained this stand to support an entire Decca Tree mic set-up, and it accomplishes this task easily. I've not been worried at all about the whole thing toppling over. Easy to assemble, and clamp-like height adjusters are solidly built. 5

[Black] I have owned stands from K&M and Triad Orbit. K&M best stand did not last long and while in use wiggled too much. Triad tries to do many things and as a result, is not great at anything and to boot is frustrating to use. Latch Lake is much more stable and easier to use, as it is specifically built as a Microphone stand. It is just a joy to work with and I get more stable and much better recordings with it. 5
