[Connector] I was on the fence about this plate. There are other plates similar but SmallRig tops them all. I have the rods and a cage so this plate made sense. Always good quality and fast shipping. I buy everything SmallRig 5

[180 W] Works well with SmallRig V mount batteries. It's fairly ligth. 15mm Rod clamp can be uninstalled if needed. Locking mechanism works well. Like various port it provides. 5

[180 W] I got this to power my Atomos Ninja V with a D-Tap to DC barrel cable. I am using a dual NP-F to V-mount adapter plate into this unit and then out. It also provides another D-tap and a couple of DC outputs, so I will likely get an adapter to also run my camera from the dual NP-F batteries. Keep in mind this unit does have to be powered on, there are electronics inside and a small power button on one side. I thought something was faulty at first until I saw the button. 5

[LED] I had been working with a cold V-mount plate for a while (not using the pins at the bottom of the V-mount battery), and it became annoying to connect to and disconnect from the V-mount battery itself over and over again, not to mention having to ration a single D-tap port. This new battery plate gives me the ability to quickly swap V-mount batteries and power multiple devices at the same time, including devices that require USB. It's a real boon. 5

[Aluminum Alloy] One thing I would have wanted in retrospect would be a bottom cheeseplate rather than it being open but its a small thing and isn't a deal breaker by any means. 5

[Connector] I purchased four of these to make my own quick release assemblies for four different camera setups. They are heavy duty and when accessorized with Manfrotto, Axler or any other quick release plate system you have an instant setup for pretty much any camera you decide to use. I've attached rods to all four of my setups and in about thirty seconds I can modify it as a shoulder rig system with a Shape offset forward handle and shoulder pad attachment or a sophisticated tripod mount system ready for any accessory to attach to the rods or the various cages I've purchased from B&H. I've literally saved a bundle building my own rigs piecemeal with this product. I like it so much I've purchased four. 5

[LED] Great item does as it’s meant to. Solid construction and once it’s got rods on it with a tripod baseplate on the bottom you’ve got a super secure yet small and solid setup. The bottom of the clamps have a 1/4” hole for the common 1/4”-20 screws you’d use on a tripod baseplate. The clamp itself is hollow all the way through this screw hole, so if you’ve got 1/4”-20 screws that aren’t exactly standard in length or precisely like the manfrotto ones, they’ll still work totally fine since the screw just keeps going in until it reaches the other side. Though keep in mind that the side hole you see in the photos will be unusable if the bottom screw is too long since it’s taking up the space inside the clamp. 5
