Protect your sensitive gear during storage and transport in this 186L, black 975S Wheeled Hard Case with Padded Divider Insert from Nanuk. Featuring lightweight but strong NK-7 resin construction, it has oversized team-carry side handles and seven PowerClaw latches to keep the lid securely closed until you open it. Integrated slide locks prevent the case from opening, even if dropped. Rated IP67 for water resistance, the case has stainless steel hardware and an automatic pressure relief valve to ensure it remains easy to open, even after changes in air pressure. The case has four smooth-rolling, built-in polyurethane wheels and a retractable handle for easily transporting heavy equipment.

Q: 1. Can the arm be rotated so that the tilt motor (one to the side of the camera) be on the left side of the camera rather than the right side?

A: No, the tilt motor will always be on the right side of the camera.

Q: 2. Do you need the app in order to balance/use this or the Ronin M, or does it just help fine tune?

A: The App is not required to balance this gimbal. However it is very helpful to use for fine tuning.

Q: 3. Does it work with the Sony a7r iii?

A: The gimbal supports the weight of the A7Riii if that is what you are asking. It does NOT support the focus control knob for manual focus pulling. It does however support triggering of the shutter/video with an infrared cable supplied with the Ronin.

Q: 4. does the storage case of the "essentials kit" have the empty spaces of the removed items? in case i want to add and store them later

A: Yes, the carrying case has slots cut out in the foam to fit the Ronin and included accessories.

Q: 5. Saw there's a hot shoe mount on top, anyone think this will be able to hold a SmallHd focus monitor also?

A: It is not been announced by DJI what that shoe is for. What you are asking may very well work but we will just have to wait and see regarding this new release.

Q: 6. Does any one know how much the unit weighs without a camera. I had the Crane 2 and it was just too heavy for too much time...

A: I'm sorry to say that we are still waiting for specs on the Ronin-S. We do not know how much this gimbal will weigh at this time. Please keep an eye on this page, as we get more information it will be updated here.

Q: 7. Will the focus knob work with the DJI Focus motor?

A: Currently no. We are currently working on an external focus motor specifically designed for the Ronin-S. Stay tuned.

Q: 8. Can I use a Small HD 5 'Focus monitor and a RODE VIDEOMIC X microphone, with a Sony A7SII camera in this Ronin S? What accessories do I need to buy in order to place the monitor and the microphone in the Ronin S?

Q: 9. On the GH5, will the follow focus work with the original Panasonic 12-35mm lens? Or only the more recent second version?

A: Both the GH5 and GH5s will offer zoom via the follow focus when using the HSA12035.

Q: 10. Can I use the Manfrotto 501 plate with this? I've heard mixed reviews on that.

[Handle] Exactly what I was looking for along with the usual Nanuk high quality design and construction. Just one note if you're using Nanuk TSA locks - they're a tight fit but will lock closed when they're installed upside-down together with a little pressure. 5

[Black] When I was shopping around for a rolling harsshell case, I was looking at that other brand. However, everyone I asked simply said to get Nanuk. Better casters, better locks, and tons of room for 2 bodies, a bunch of lenses, my gimbal, and tons of accessories. I’ve already dragged it over uneven pavement, potholes and cobblestones without my equipment taking even the slightest knock. I’m looking forward to seeing how it holds up to a real beating, it is a case, and every scratch a memory of a successful shoot. 5

[Handle] We love the Nanuk cases. They just feel superior to other cases we've tried over the years. The Nanuk 975 is no exception. It is humongous and lives up to the quality we expect from Nanuk. Personally, I also appreciate the cubed foam, but have a love/hate relationship with the complexity of cutting the foam to the exact dimensions of the products you're storing in the case. I suggest using a long box cutter style blade to help get through the entirety of the thick foam that comes with this case. 5

[Latch] I have been looking for a rolling hard case for a few months now and when BH had this on their Deals I immediately bought it and I knew I made a good purchase. The case is good and I love that PowerClaw latch doesn't snap your fingers off. 5

[Latch] I've always used Pelican cases but when I went into B&H to check out hardshell cases, I was drawn to the Nanuk wheeled cases. The latches are great and the handle is much easier to work with. 5

[Yes] I usually wait for flash deals/sales on cases from Nanuk and the other guys. These cases can really take a beating. I love it. I haven't always been a fan of their pluck and peel foam because it never separates cleanly. These cases were different, however. I'm not sure if they changed their formula or what, but these pulled apart easy like the other big name brand cases. I love the color options too. I just wish they were all the same price, which is not always the case. 5
