Q: 1. Will the focus knob work with the DJI Focus motor?

A: Currently no. We are currently working on an external focus motor specifically designed for the Ronin-S. Stay tuned.

Q: 2. Do you need the app in order to balance/use this or the Ronin M, or does it just help fine tune?

A: The App is not required to balance this gimbal. However it is very helpful to use for fine tuning.

Q: 3. Saw there's a hot shoe mount on top, anyone think this will be able to hold a SmallHd focus monitor also?

A: It is not been announced by DJI what that shoe is for. What you are asking may very well work but we will just have to wait and see regarding this new release.

Q: 4. Can you explain how are you connecting the bolt between the the Easyrig and the Ronin-S?

A: The 16x9 Kong Quick Release Adapter for Easyrig with 1/4"-20 Eyebolt is included with this kit to connect the Ronin-S to the EasyRig. As far as how the Ronin-S would be operated, it is our belief that you will need to use the gimbal in an inverted mode for it to work with the EasyRig.

Q: 5. On the GH5, will the follow focus work with the original Panasonic 12-35mm lens? Or only the more recent second version?

A: Both the GH5 and GH5s will offer zoom via the follow focus when using the HSA12035.

Q: 7. does the storage case of the "essentials kit" have the empty spaces of the removed items? in case i want to add and store them later

A: Yes, the carrying case has slots cut out in the foam to fit the Ronin and included accessories.

Q: 8. I have Sony Ar7III with 24105f4G. If I change zooming length, do I need to balance again for the new zooming length?

A: As others have said correctly, it is best to rebalance the Ronin-S whenever your center of gravity changes. If the change is not dramatic, the powerful motors of the Ronin-S will likely be able to handle the change, though it's important to avoid running an unbalanced setup as much as possible.

Q: 9. will the plate of the ronin s fit the fuji gfx ? I hear people having problems fitting it with the crane 2 and need to know before purchasing. thanks!

A: We are not aware of any issues mounting a Fuji GFX camera to the Ronin-S.

Q: 10. Is it possible to power a sony a7rII with the Ronin-S?

A: Currently this functionality is still being developed and options will likely be available soon.

[Handle] Anything rates better or worse upon comparison. We are all used to padded dividers be it in camera bags, slingshots, backpacks etc., so even for a case like the Nanuk (which is superb) padded dividers are far better than foam. Also, once you use the foam insert, the compartments cannot be changed, unlike the padded divider that you can and will alter to your needs. So whenever buying a case (such as the NANUK 935, which is absolutely gorgeous) opt on the one with padded divider. Excellent quality, BTW. 5

[Handle] We love the Nanuk cases. They just feel superior to other cases we've tried over the years. The Nanuk 975 is no exception. It is humongous and lives up to the quality we expect from Nanuk. Personally, I also appreciate the cubed foam, but have a love/hate relationship with the complexity of cutting the foam to the exact dimensions of the products you're storing in the case. I suggest using a long box cutter style blade to help get through the entirety of the thick foam that comes with this case. 5

[Yes] Exactly what I was looking for along with the usual Nanuk high quality design and construction. Just one note if you're using Nanuk TSA locks - they're a tight fit but will lock closed when they're installed upside-down together with a little pressure. 5
