The BG-N11 Battery Grip For Nikon D7100 & D7200 from Vello is designed specifically for the Nikon D7100 and D7200 DSLR camera and accepts one Nikon EN-EL15 battery. With one battery in the grip and one in the camera, shooting time is effectively doubled. The BG-N11 can also hold and utilize six AA batteries. Two battery trays, one for the EN-EL15 and one for the six AAs, are included.

The design of a battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your DSLR, especially in the vertical position. The BG-N11 integrates an alternate shutter release button to facilitate shooting when held vertically. The shutter button offers a lock position to prevent accidental release. In addition, the BG-N11 has an alternate AE-L/AF-L button, multi selector and main and sub-command dials. It is designed with an anti-slip rubber grip and firm curvature to further improve handling. A tripod socket is included as is a space for the camera's contact cover so as not to lose it when it has been removed to install the battery grip.

A: Sorry, but I don't have a useful answer. My Vello Grip has functioned perfectly, so I've had not issues with it. I would return it for a replacement.

Q: 5. The back button on my grip fell off after about a month. Do I send it back to B&H or to Vello?

A: I have attached a tripod plate to the bottom and used it with a tripod when the is not large and/or relatively light.

A: I have a Nikon D7100 and I bought the Vello BG-N11 battery grip because of the price. It is less expensive then the Nikon grip and it works on the Nikon D7200 also. It looks great and fits perfectly even tho it's made in China.

Q: 9. I have this for my 7200 and it has trouble locking and registering. It will show up on the camera and then go away?

A: I have this for my D7100 and have had no problems with it. Just make sure everything is lined up correctly and then tighten it up.

Q: 10. Can I use the grip without the battery installed when I want to use camera in portrait mode?

A: Yes, the grip will work without a battery being installed inside it, as the camera would still have its original one battery unit powering it.

[0.795 lb] Simple to use, and fits nicely on the D7100, or D7200 camera. The build quality is very good. Great way to carry that extra battery when out shooting on the trail. Im a happy camper. Its also about one third the price of Nikons grip. 5

[1/4"-20 Female] After using this for over 4 years on a D3200 with absolutely no issues after tens of thousands of photos, hiking trails, days on the boat, beach trips and everything else, I purchased one with my D7200 and D750 when I purchased the new cameras. The grips fit extremely well, very simple to install and the material matches the camera bodies so it blends right in and looks like it belongs. It makes vertical shooting simple and also helps with handling the camera period. There is really nothing that can go wrong as the grips are very well made.
