The MMP-F Modular Active Boom, 30cm with Gooseneck Top by DPA MMP-F Modular Active Gooseneck Microphoneis a preamplifier and output stage for DPA Reference Standard MMC series capsules. The modular capsule attaches to the MMP-F preamplifier. When used with a DPA microphone capsule it provides power for podium, floor stand, or table top microphone. The MMP-F provides and XLR output and 48V phantom power via an external source. It features impedance balancing with active drive and has excellent radio frequency rejection. The optional stands are sold separately.

A: No, the DPA Microphones Microphone Shock Mount UA0897 would not be an appropriate choice for this mic. I would suggest a universal shock mount such as the Rycote InVision Universal Microphone Shock Mount (BH #RYINVUSM).

[Up to 90%] I'd been using the Ursa mini concealers for my Cos-11s and really like them, but these do exactly the same thing with the huge added benefit of being able to snap on a bra clip in two seconds. A great tool! 5

[Active] Simple good value. I like that all Arturia Microfreak had the hidden Vocoder capability and this mic (with the headphone out ) enables it elegantly. I'd tend complain that as an accessory it wasn't included with the Microfreak but when Arturia priced it affordably (in contrast to teenage engineering accessories) and gave us the new Vocoder feature as a firmware add then it's really a gift. Love Arturia. 5

[0.75" (19 mm)] This is great if you have the gooseneck with an XLR barrel. If you've got the MicroDot, you need the CMX2218B00 cable to use with this. Fair warning. Beyond that lack of explanation, the mount is great. 5
