A: Correct the Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Canon EOS R5 and R6 Mirrorless Camera has a pin that slides into the R6 and RS to help it say in position. The plate has a large port that is for a QD connection. Q: 3. I'm trying to find a Really Right Stuff camera plate (non-L-plate) for the R5 with battery grip, but I can only find the L-Plate. Can I buy that from you B&H?

A: Yes, the Kondor Blue DC to USB-C Power Delivery Cable for Canon R5 C/Sony FX3 (Blue, 16") would be able to send power from the SmallRig VB99 Mini V-Mount Battery (99Wh) to the SmallRig MagicFIZ's motor.

Q: 5. Is there a way to add a Peak Design Anchor Connector to allow the use of the Peak Design Clutch?

A: The Peak Design Anchor Mount can be attached to the 1/4 20" mounting receiver on the bottom of the Falcam Quick Release Camera Cage Base V2 for Canon EOS R5/R6/R6 II.

Q: 6. Will this plate work with the Peak Design Anchors? I need a flat bottom so that the Camera can sit firmly on a flat surface.

A: Unfortunately, neither us nor RRS have more images showing a more detailed view of the bottom of the plate. Until we are able to inspect it physically, it would be hard to be 100% sure. At first glance though, there don't seem to be any loops or recessed areas that you would be able to loop the PD anchors.

Q: 7. Will this work with a battery eliminator in a Canon EOS R8?

A: The Kondor Blue DC to USB-C Power Delivery Cable for Canon R5 C/Sony FX3 (Blue, 16") will power a Canon EOS R8 with a suitable power source.

Q: 8. will this fit the new R6 MKII ?

A: Yes, the Kirk L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 & R6 (BH #KIBLR5 • MFR #BL-R5) will fit the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 9. RRS website shows two plates for R5 one for $40- camera only and camera with Battery Grip was $70-. So is this one for camera only and marked up considerably by B&H?

A: So on RRS's website, if you select the options for the base plate for the R5 without battery grip, it is the same price that B&H sells it for. If you select the R5 with battery grip and L bracket, it is also the same price that B&H sells it for. the only variation that we don't sell unfortunately is just the single sided plate for the R5 with battery grip. Over all, the prices are the same as on the RRS website and there is no mark up.

Q: 10. Will this fit the Atomos Battery Eliminator?

[Arca-Type Plate] This inexpensive piece attaches via a 1/4 20” and saves you the need to hold that extra gear. Mounting the cold shoe plate to the side of your camera or gear cage is like having another arm, and saves you from a jumbled mess. For $10, this is a must have for folks who use cold shoe mounts daily. 5

[Canon EOS R5 C] I could be wrong about this, others are prone to disagree, but it gets complicated. This was purchased to complement the Kondor Blue 501 Adjustable Baseplate. Without this piece of nicely machined, symmetrical alloy, spring releases on both ends, there isn't a large flat surface on the Baseplate to attach directly to any other surface. The Dovetail fits nicely into the Baseplate. Dandy. With some platforms that might well be sufficient. However, most tripod heads and surface mounts have their own dovetail receptacle which require yet another dovetail plate. What you end up with is plates mounted back to back, or more accurately: front to front. Or am I missing something? One minor annoyance: my two plates front to front were not thick enough for the length of a standard ¼-20 camera attachment screw. The end of the screws impede the free sliding of the baseplate along the dovetail. Had to add a bit of spacer between the two dovetails. I know- clear as mud. But there you have it. 5

[Cage] The specs show that the package is 4 long. Why I would care I don't know. The plate itself is very short, 1.95 / 50mm long. If you are planning to add a second screw and mount it in two places, you have exactly 1.37 / 35mm screw center to screw center to mount both. My smallrig universal large cage doesn't have screws that close together on the bottom. Worth measuring. 5

[Cage] Excellent piece of hardware. My only criticism is that I wish it was quicker to attach and remove from a camera cage for rebuilds. But that might compromise it's integrity and am ok with that for now. 5

[Aluminum] I decided to go with this one after originally purchasing the non battery grip cage. I really wanted to use my battery grip on my R5 and have two battery in at a time. My only concern here is that it doesn’t seem to allow me to put the clamp because the camera is too long now. It’s a semi big thing for me as I don’t want to be messing up the flimsy micro hdmi on the R5. For that I would give it a 4.5 but there’s no such score. 5
