A: You can but not attaching right near the bulb.

A: They are heat resistant to some extent. However, it's recommended to allow for at least 2-3 inches of air space between the gel and the light.

If you are using hot lights, keep them a few inches away or the heat will melt them. They are fantastic for coloring smaller LED lights.
