The Spectra Cyc also utilizes an asymmetrical aluminum reflector to broadly and evenly disperse the light as well as an LED blending lens to reduce the effects of pixelization from direct view. The light also has pre-programmed modes for adjusting dimming from 0-100% as well as setting up a strobe mode.

Connecting the fixture to your setup is simple with male and female 5-pin XLR ports, these let you transfer data through a series of daisy-chained lights. A: Yes. It can be dimmed on the back of the LED light housing or by a connected lighting board. If you have an old external dimmer, it will not work because the external dimmer is only controlling AC wattage. This LED light is controlled via internal components or via DMX cable to light board.

A: These lights are intended for stage lighting and not for photography. Chauvet does not publish the CRI rating on these lights. The CRI tells you how accurate a light might be. Leds can have a tendency to shift to green or magenta when they are pushed output wise (by the manufacturer) or when they are not batched with high standards. It is best to use professional photography lighting not stage leds if you want good color quality and consistency.
