Featuring a new and updated design, the Canon RF-mount AstrHori 28mm f/13 Macro Probe Lens Canon RFfrom AstrHori 28mm f/13 Macro Probe Lens Canon RFprovides a 360° rotating base and a direct view lens tube with a 90° tube for multiple perspectives. Designed to reveal beautiful details hidden in tight spaces, this unique lens features a 2:1 magnification ratio and a 90° waterproof probe extension with front-end illumination to bring the unseen world to light. The 2x magnification capability enables detailed close-ups, while the extension's slender 1.2" diameter makes it ideal for fitting through slim openings and into small spaces. The optical structure consists of 21 elements in 16 groups and features an aperture range of f/13 to f/40. Taken all together, the wide-angle macro provides a broad depth of field that brings both the subject and its surroundings into focus for environmentally rich imagery.

[f/13] Have only used it a little, but I love the results. I got it to take macro photos (you can get within a couple of inches of the subject) and still get interesting background imagery. And it's very fast (f/1.8). What's not to like at this price? 5

[28mm] Is it the sharpest 35, no but it is more than sharp enough and can often be had brand new on sale for under $400 and at that price it is a steal. Works great for photo and video. Auto focus works great. I don't use the macro feature so I won't speak to that. The lens does make some noise when focusing for photo but for video it is silent and smooth. It almost mimics a focus pull as it brings the subject into focus. The lens barrel does extend in and out ever so slightly when focusing but that does not bother me. Value for money, it is hard to beat. 5

[75°] Works very well for getting into tight spaces. The lens is fairly sharp - not the sharpest, but offers good value in terms of probe lenses. F40 requires a ton of light. You'll also want a motorized rig of sorts for any movement as the macro lens is very sensitive to small bumps. All in all - good value compared to the Laowa. Only down side is it an APS-C lens, so you'll get some crop when on a full frame lens. 5

[4.36 lb] After two days of shooting with this lens, I have to admit that I’m impressed with the image quality. Pictures are clear and sharp. The lens is wide enough to get a good wide angle shot but not so wide that I can see my shoes when pointing the lens straight ahead. 5

[Full-Frame] This lens is lightweight and reasonably compact (ish). Autofocus is on the quicker end of the STM spectrum. Flaring and CA are well controlled (I also bought the Vello Tulip Style Lens Hood). Image quality is good enough for professional use under the right lighting conditions. 5
