Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this mic work with a DJI OSMO ACTION (not an Action 2) ?

A: Yes, the Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System's receiver can send signal into the DJI Osmo Action 4K Camera's USB Type-C connection when the DJI CYNOVA Osmo Action Dual 3.5mm/USB-C Adapter (BH #DJOAD35) is also implemented for 3.5mm connection: https://bhpho.to/3Ea0Xym

Q: 2. I've read that the units will power off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Does this apply to both the Tx and Rx units? I would like to build this into an installation where the Rx always stays on so that mics can be turned on/off as needed. Can I keep the Rx unit powered on while plugged into power even if there are no mics on for hours or days at a time?

A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder components will power off automatically after 15 minutes if they are not paired to each other. Even if the receiver is connected to a power source, if not paired, the device will power off.

Q: 3. Hey there! How would I set this up to record a 2 person interview for a podcast? Is there a way to do this with 2x Rode Lav mics and my Roland EdiRoll?

A: You would have to use 2 channels for your input to camera or recording device from your mixer

Q: 4. My friend gave me his but neither him or I know if it has to have a specific program to work, does it? And can I just plug it in and will it work for iPhone 6plus voice memo?

A: The Lavalier requires a Micon connector to plug into any device. The correct Micon for smartphone use is the Micon 11. Once plugged in, it will become the default audio input device for the iPhone and will work with any recording app.

Q: 5. Can you confirm if the Rode Central app has been proven to work with the new M1 Macs? Many audio interface apps are struggling with the new M1 chips Mac is using so I hope that has been addressed with this app.

A: Yes it will, It was specifically designed to be M1 compatible.

Q: 6. Would the receiver be able to attach securely to a dslr hotshue?

A: Yes, the receiver for the Rode Wireless Go 2 system has a belt clip that is also designed to securely attach to a camera hotshoe.

Q: 7. is it possible to use these to amplify a speaker like in a lecture hall? our hosts get hoarse if they have to speak loudly enough for the entire class to hear

A: If you have a mixer in the lecture hall that is connected to an amplifier that is powering the speakers, then you can use an 1/8'' mini to XLR adapter like B&H # KOAXMMF to connect the Rode Wireless Go II to that PA system. The Rode Wireless Go II will not amplify a passive speaker.

Q: 8. What happens when the internal recording media on the mics runs out of space? Can I continue using the mics with the receiver once the recording media is full?

A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder can record up to 40 hours of compressed audio, or up to 7 hours of uncompressed audio. When the internal storage is full, the unit will continue to record, overwriting the oldest recorded block so you always have the most recent audio available, with no need to delete files or format the storage. To ensure you don't lose any audio you haven't saved, we recommend backing up your audio after each recording session.

Q: 9. Hello. Does this kit will work on an iPhone XI PRO to make facebook live pro audio or need additional equipment? Thanks in advance

A: The Rode Wireless GO II is compatible for use with iPhones, but may not work with Facebook Live. Apple iOS devices do work with the built-in mic for Facebook Live, but when starting up Facebook Live on iOS devices using an external microphone, the device only recognizes its built-in mic. While this is disappointing, iPhone users have found a way to work around this limitation by starting up Facebook Live using the internal mic first. After the live stream has already started, then go ahead and plug in the external microphone. For many iPhone and iPad users, this seems to do the trick. Give this a try before purchasing the Wireless GO II if you are specifically purchasing it to use for Facebook Live. The system does work on iOS for typical audio applications as well as for most other audio/video applications like the native iOS camera app.

Q: 10. Will this work with a lightning adapter on an iphone 11?

A: By using the included TRRS adapter from Comica, this will work with an iPhone when being attached to a lighting to headphone jack adapter.

[Plug-In Power] I purchased this along with the Rode VXLR+. The thread-lock on the 3.5mm connector of the lav fits perfectly with connector on the adapter/converter. This allows me to belt-clip (included with the VXLR+) the adapter/converter to the talent and run an XLR mic cable back to the mixer with phantom power when needed in place of connecting the lav to a bodypack for wireless use. It also fully inserts into the transmitters of the Rode Wireless Go II system. My other non-Rode wireless system came with lav mics but they sound terrible next this mic and/or the Rode Lavalier Go mics I purchased.

[Plug-In Power] I have been a video producer for over 30 years and I have worked with a lot of microphones. RODE are the best. I get what I call that Hollywood sound, nice, tight, clean, professional audio. Always going to be a fan of RODE. Oh, the LAV delivers too.

[Plug-In Power] Coming from the old lav, this is a no brainer.

They solved every issue I generally have with lav mics. My favorite part might be the cord itself. The flatness and texture of the cable is unbelievably tangle resistant. For the amount of time I have spent un-tangling cables, the money is worth the lack of headache alone!

Audio quality is what you'd come to expect from rode. Everything they hype up in their promo video holds true. I've been paring it with the Tascam DR-10L and its been awesome.

[Plug-In Power] First of all the service at BH is fantastic,
When you talk to a specialist in the store they take the time to take a minute to ask you if you’re healthy feels like family.
When we go down to business they know what they are talking about and if they don’t have the answer they search it and they come back to you.
I live in Montreal I don’t hesitate to pay in US to have that family service.
for the product I got, Rode link is perfect,
Thank you
Eric
