The long-haired RODE TX-M2 Wireless Microphone Kit with Windscreenfrom RODE TX-M2 Wireless Microphone Kit with Windscreenprovides some of the best wind protection for handheld microphones available today. The air enters the bubble for a short visit, finds it rather dull, and quickly leaves again without harming the microphone inside. So, instead of the wind hammering on the microphone and making those horrible sounds, it passes right on through.

The outside consists of our carefully chosen black faux-fur that is soft, fluffy and dense. It is built with the long fur as standard, and helps make sure that you get the best possible results when recording outdoors. There is a smooth mesh lining underneath the fur and an elastic mount at the bottom, which makes it easy and secure to fit the Big Windbubble on all standard handheld microphones.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hey there! How would I set this up to record a 2 person interview for a podcast? Is there a way to do this with 2x Rode Lav mics and my Roland EdiRoll?

A: You would have to use 2 channels for your input to camera or recording device from your mixer

Q: 2. Is there a way to connect this to the Rodecaster Pro? Not as a primary mic, but when you need that extra mic.

A: This can be connected to the Rodecaster Pro, but will require replacing the included cable with any 3.5mm trs to trs cable such as B&H # ROSC2, and an xlr adapter such as B&H # ROVXLR.

Q: 3. My friend gave me his but neither him or I know if it has to have a specific program to work, does it? And can I just plug it in and will it work for iPhone 6plus voice memo?

A: The Lavalier requires a Micon connector to plug into any device. The correct Micon for smartphone use is the Micon 11. Once plugged in, it will become the default audio input device for the iPhone and will work with any recording app.

Q: 4. does this work with the rode videomic pro plus?

A: Yes, the Rode LB-1 rechargeable battery is compatible for use with the VideoMic Pro Plus.

Q: 5. I have a 16" mac book pro with only usb-c/thunderbolt 3 ports. Does the NTG is compatible with that? i want to use it for record some intruments and podcast.

A: Yes it is compatible with yur computer. Plug the VideoMic NTG into your computer, smartphone, or tablet via USB to use it as a digital USB microphone for direct recording to your favorite software. Its integrated analog-to-digital converter operates at 24-bit / 48 kHz to provide full-resolution, uncompressed audio quality. A USB Type-A to USB Type-C Cable is included in the box.

Q: 6. If I got two of these, could I plug both into my MacBook Pro and have them record simultaneously?

A: You would not be able to use the USB outputs from both NTG Hybrid mic at the same time as the computer will only recognize one USB mic. However, you can use two NTG Hybrid mics at the same time if you connect them via their analog outputs. You could connect the analog outputs from both mics to separate input channels on a USB audio interface and send digital audio to your computer.

Q: 7. How to charge Rode LB1 Battery?

A: Hello Wenjie. The LB1 is designed for the VideoMic Pro Plus and charges inside of it. All you need to do is plug in the included micro USB to its designated input on the microphone while the LB1 is inside.

Q: 8. Can I plug microphone into the canon c100?

A: This mic is designed to work with a camera that has a 3.5mm input, a mobile device or to connet USB directly to a computer. Rode does say that you can use a Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter, BH #ROVXLRP to connect into the mic preamp of a camera with 48 volt phantom power, but I would suggest to use a camera shotgun mic with a balanced XLR output. A good example would be the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter, BH #ROVXLRP.

Q: 9. In USB mode, what do you hear through the mic's 3.5 mm jack? A) Computer playback only. B) Computer playback + mic monitoring with round-trip latency (VideoMic NTG to PC/Mac to VideoMic NTG). C) Computer playback audio + mic monitoring with direct zero latency. D) Direct, zero-latency mic monitoring only.

A: As per Rode, if you are using the VideomicNTG as your selected output source, then you will be monitoring the mic signal and playback audio being processed from the DAW or program. Answer B.

Q: 10. Does my MacBook have to be open to use the mic? or can it be closed?

A: Yes, if you are recording audio on your MacBook using the VideoMic NTG, the MacBook does need to be open and powered on with DAW software working. The mic will not record to the computer if the computer is closed and sleeping.
