[0.27 lb] I absolutely love this camera! I was hesitant at first because of the price tag, but it was worth every penny of it! Definitely not for a hobbyist. This camera really takes instant photography to a whole new level. Not to mention, the free film program that comes along with this camera pays for itself!

[7.9" / 20 cm] The best thing about this camera is the aperture control and the excellent shallow depth of field. It also has good lens quality that creates nice sharp image. It is easy to use and very easy to get beautiful photos, and it is more portable than I thought.

[0.27 lb] I’ll admit I probably wouldn’t have purchased this if I hadn’t found a used one on B&H. After adding the lens kit it was still pretty pricey and I had plenty of “what did I just do?” moments between ordering and receiving it. However once I shot my first pack of film all doubts disappeared.

My kids have owned Instax Minis for a couple of years but I now realize that most Instax cameras are not doing the film justice. The colors and contrast one can get are a far cry from the typical overexposed instant photo of yore but it can do “dreamy” when called upon too. I love the unknown element and happy accidents that can occur (even if it’s just to compensate for a lack of ideas on my part).

There’s definitely a learning curve in setting the right aperture given the way sensor works and I am still slower to focus than I would like but the results that this camera delivers can be really great and more importantly the whole process is tremendous fun. With film at less than $0.50 / shot, there’s no reason to hold back from experimentation. Do yourself a favor and throw a 6-pack of film in your cart before purchase.

If there is a downside it’s that I’m now thinking about an RF70 much to the horror of my wallet.

[0.27 lb] Wow love this camera so far! I used film twin lens reflex cameras before and this takes me back in time! It's more advanced than the point and shoot instants and you actually have to slow down to use it! I've gotten some good results so far! And if you follow the instructions it's fairly easy to use! Did I say how FUN this camera is!

[0.27 lb] I never used an instant film camera before and I have always been digital SLR user. However, I really like the look of the Rolleiflex camera and always wanted one. While I was shopping around for an instant camera, I saw this camera which looks very much like a Rolleiflex so I bought it. I am very happy and having fun shooting with this camera. It is not just point and shoot, you still need to make some adjustment to get what you want, but that is the beauty of photography!

[7.9" / 20 cm] I really enjoy manual focusing on the big screen. I like having control of shutter speed an DOF. The light meter is accurate, but you need to understand how to compensate for backlighting, etc. Manual exposure control is in one-stop increments, I would like something finer than that. The optional ND filters are essential for outdoor shooting.


This is my first time using instax film. It seems to have little exposure latitude and works best in low contrast situations. (No bright, sunny days.)


Photos are sharp, but I don't think there's enough information to scan and make a larger print. That is not what the Instax format is intended to be used for.

[0.27 lb] After using it for quite a while, I'm still in love with my TL70 2.0. It is truly the best instax film camera you could ever find. Fuji ones are good, but not the best, Mint ones are, especially this. For those who thought Fuji is a toy cam, don't get Fuji, get Mint. You will get a totally different idea once you've tried it. And it will make you fall in love with instant film. I just love sharing photos with my friends and family. It's the best thing you could possibly do!

[0.27 lb] I've had this camera for 6 months and I can say that this camera is excellent. The build quality is great, a significant leap forward from previous Mint cameras. The picture quality is exceptional, and I'm impressed by the level of control and overall performance. To be honest, I didn't anticipate such a remarkable difference from the original TL70. Mint has truly hit the mark this time.
