Level up your sound-reinforcement system with the Yamaha CHR12, a compact passive two-way loudspeaker, well suited for clubs, bars, and live-music venues.

The speaker can accommodate 1000W of power to drive the 12" woofer and the 1.4" compression driver, which combine to offer a frequency range of 54 Hz to 20 kHz. The 90x60° (HxV) horn is rotatable, allowing the speaker to be used either horizontally or vertically. With a maximum SPL output of 124 dB, a pair of CHR12s can provide plenty of volume to cover an audience of 300 patrons.

The CHR series features plywood enclosures like Yamaha's acclaimed DZR loudspeakers to deliver outstanding durability and acoustic performance.

Q: 7. As pictured, it could not be used with L-brackets for up-down tilt. Can the Arca-style baseplate be re-indexed by 90 degrees, so that it runs parallel to the tilt axis?

A: According to this photo on Leofoto's website (https://bit.ly/35UuwVg), the arca-swiss clamp atop the head is removable, albeit it might be securely glued down using a strong adhesive. Assuming you are able to remove and reorient the clamp, you should be able to mount the camera parallel to the axis of motion, allowing you to tilt forward and back rather than side-to-side. I will caution against this as we have no way of determining how the arca-swiss clamp is mounted to the head, as other brands have sometimes made their models difficult to change. The reason for this is because usually monopod heads like these are primarily for mounting to long lens collars. Leofoto has a different model that offers an indexing/panning clamp which might be more suitable for you called the VH30R. By default, that system allows for reorientation of the clamp to accommodate cameras and lenses.

[Ferrite] I read the specs from Mackie so I figured that these speakers would work for what I tend to do sound reinforcement for. �The handle placement is ideal, especially when placing them on speaker stands and the sound coming out them filled a 75 by 100 ft meeting room nicely with very clean audio. �Yes I would recommend this product to a friend 5

[Black] We are a church and needed speakers for outdoor events, parties, dancing, picnics for about 100 to 200 folks. I called a friend who happens to install home sound and video systems in high end homes, big dollar systems and asked him what I should get. He turned me on to QSC and narrowed it down to the CP12 series for our application. There were other speakers that did more stuff but my friend the audio expert said Get the tool that does the main job very well and not all the gingerbread, it will last a lot longer. I did and wow the speakers sound great!!! 5

[Ferrite] This is an amazing loudspeaker. It's well-built, rugged and easy to handle. We purchased this to replace a speaker in a school gym; the sound quality and clarity and unmatched. Be aware of the connecter ports look similar to XLRs, but are in fact Speakon NL4FC Ports; they can be easily refitted with XLR is needed. 5

[Black] I've been a JBL person for many years, but I must say that putting this speaker next to my JBl JRX112M (the same speaker configuration), blew me away. I never thought JBL could be surpassed. I was wrong. This EV speaker did it. As a pro musician for many years, I rate this at the top 3 speakers in it's class, if not the top of the heap. I love the light weight for transporting, as I have to move my equipment 5 nights per week in Las Vegas. The sound reproduction is great. It actually put out more volume at the same mixer setting than the JBL. There are two things I would like to see changed. The handles should be on top (as the JBL), not on the sides. This will make the speaker easier to grab and load into a vehicle, instead of bending over and reaching for the handle on the side. Another change I would like to see, is that the cabinet would have both Speakon and 1/4 inputs, as some mixers don't have Speakon outputs, therefore requiring you to buy an adaptor. The JBL has both Speakon and 1/4 inputs. Otherwise, this speaker is an excellent choice... 5

[124 dB] I bought 2 of these speakers to run out smaller workshop events with and to have them be the lead loudspeakers for our 500+ festivals where we rent 4-6 other similarly sized units. The vocals and cleanliness of music at nearly all volumes in unmatched. We love that these have a lot of manual controls (DEEP, flat, external sub + Vocal boost, normal) outside of the mixer to further tailor what we're using them for in any given set. Yes, these have the DEEP effect which adds a substantial amount of low end if you don't want to tie in subwoofers. Love them. 5

[2 kHz] I bought a pair of the 10" speakers to provide sound in my basement for DJ practice mixes and to make my Peloton bike experience rock. It does that very well using only a fraction of its full power. I connected everything through a Yamaha MG10xu mixer. I have not taken the speakers outside yet, but they should power a backyard party and make the neighbors stand up and notice. The speakers are rugged, lightweight for the sound they produce, and priced well. You can certainly get better and louder sound, but you will pay at least double. 5
