Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used with sigma fp ?

A: The Sigma FP would need this Sigma CN-21 instead: https://bhpho.to/2LWrgyM

Q: 2. Could this be used with a power bank with a USB-C port with PD?

A: Yes, the Blind Spot Gear USB-C to Canon LP-E17 Adapter is compatible with a power bank with USB-C and PD. The PD power bank should offer 9 volts.

Q: 3. Can the USB-C input power a small mirrorless rig directly or is it only for charging?

A: Yes, the Blind Spot Gear Power Junkie V2 will be able to power a small rig directly from a from NP-F Battery.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Nikon Z 6?

A: Yes this will work with the Nikon Z6 as a dummy battery

Q: 5. Suppose I recharge the NPF battery to wall power while using it to power my GH5. Where will my GH5 draw power, from the attached NPF battery or straight from wall power?

A: Passthrough power from the wall is not available sadly, and the battery will not power the GH5 if you have it connect to the main wall power, so I would recommend using either a D-Tap power source or using a dummy battery attached to a battery bank of sorts.

Q: 6. What is the DC barrel dimensions on the Power Junkie?

A: The barrel is 2.5mm.

Q: 7. Can this be used to charge multiple devices - the NP-F battery plus a couple cell phones plugged into USB-A ports?

A: Yes the USB ports can be used to charge a cell phone or two.

Q: 8. Can this dummy battery, which was designed for the GH5, also be used for the Panasonic S5?

A: I'm sorry, no, it does not work for the S5. The S5 takes a different battery, the DMW-BLK22.

Q: 9. Can I use another brand LP E6/NP-FW50 dummy batteries? Thanks

A: This unit only works with NPFW50 batteries, the LPE6N will not work with this unit. You can use another brand dummy battery as long as the cable is a 2.5mm female.

Q: 10. Does it come with the cable to connect the plate to the camera?

A: This does not come with a dc coupler, a dummy battery connected to a cable. You have to select the one that matches your camera's battery.

[Black] This has been a great addition to my video kit. Being able to power any device over USB (including charging a phone) with a battery I'm already carrying is great, and it means I can stop carrying a dedicated USB power bank. As a bonus, it can also charge a battery via USB, so you can keep an extra battery topped up while not in use.

[Black] I love the item, I needed something to keep my camera equipment and all the other devices power up. I hook them all up and it’s more than what I expected..
Amazing product

[Positive] Does exactly what it's meant to do. Well built and very well thought out design. Probably not it's intended purpose, but I wound up using it to power my phone with an 970 battery. Got nearly 2 days out of it.

[34 W] Great for those long hours doing Astro Photography at least 4 to 5 hours longer than a single battery with 750 battery. Thank you B&H. Great product.

[Bioplastic] This product looks solidly built. It has a nice feel. One of the connectors looked crooked but I think it works fine I haven't tested it out yet!

[Positive] Bought 2. One to power the Blackmagic Pocket4k, tilta Nucleus Nano, and my Nyrius Aries Pro transmitter . The other to power the nyrius receiver and lilliput A7S as a directors monitor.

Works great! Keeping it in my kit also means I have a spare NP-F charger on me. Being that’s it’s smaller that the battery it holds means it’s can be a bit tricky to lock them in properly but once it’s in it’s in for good.

[1] I have two of these Blind Spot Power Junkies to provide power for my two cameras and two monitors. This power adapter has definitely been one of my how-did-I-ever-live-without-this purchases.

I use high capacity Watson NP-F975 batteries to provide power to my SmallHD502 Bright via the LP-E6 dummy battery. Then with a USBC cable I provide power to my Sony A7Siii (and before that, my Sony A7iii).

Huge fan of this product!

[34 W] I have had the little piece of gear for about 2 months now and I have used it on several projects. It is a very flexible power supply for your cameras and depending on how your camera rig is set up you will have the ability to power or charge up to 3 different things at the same time. I have used it with the Sony a6400 and the Sony a7iii and both cameras resulted in ALL DAY BATTERY LIFE while using the NP-F970 equivelant batteries (I used the DSTE NP-f970). I also have taken the time to test the power junkie for recording consecutive 4K clips (30min each) and the a7iii was able to record 8, 30 min 4K clips and the battery had 52% left!!! That's 4 HOURS of consecutive recording time on half of the battery! If you are a videographer that uses hybrid cameras as your primary cameras then this little addition IS A MUST. Not only is it a great power supply BUT it is ALSO a charging station for the NP-F batteries; an all-in-one piece of gear. Thank You Blind Spot Gear for a great product!
