[10.4 x 8 x 3.8"] I already owned the FJ400 and some FJ200's so it made sense for me to get one of these to complete my system. The flash head itself is bigger than your standard Canon/Nikon/Sony flashes. The plastic seems a little thin, probably to keep the weigh down and the click on the head seem to be good, but not as strong/loud as other flashes I've had. So far it holds well, but in time I'm afraid its going to do like a lot of my flashes and want to turn down when I go vertical. We'll see. So far so good. Very easy to use the touchscreen on the back and TTL seems to work pretty good with my Canon R6.

[360°] I am very pleased with this speedlight, it is easy to sync with the Westcott controller. It does a nice job of high speed sync and easy to adjust power. I was able to trigger it from over 100 feet away. I was able to easily trigger it in a three light system.

[0 to +90°] I replaced my Flashpoint Li-on iii r2 ttl Flash for this Flash after buying a Z8. I was a little apprehensive about buying it since some reviews said that it took forever to boot up.

This new 2024 Universal M version boots up quickly. It is pretty simple to set up for your camera. In the top left hand corner just choose you camera brand and it attached to the Z8s hot shoe without any issues.

Westcott is said to have a more accurate reliable temperature rendering. I went with this recommendation by a B&H representative after I saw it on dale for 274.00.

It renders nice accurate flashes and it boots up pretty fast. Yes, you have to turn it on and press the on software symbol on the screen; However this is done in a matter of seconds.

Buy what you like but don't be afraid of this unit. It also has master slave trigger capability.
B&H sent it to me in one day and I received it by late morning.

[31] I bought this to use 'off-camera' mostly, not a big fans of on camera lights, but... This FJ80 II is easy to use, especially when paired with the FJ-X3 for off camera work. Great for location work, and has very good light output... So far, battery life seems good, too.

[31] The FJ80 II has served me well so far, using it with a Nikon D850. The interface (touchscreen) is very easy, and output is great. Use this thing with a flash bender on camera or as an off-camera flash, and it performs great.

[Shoe] So far I haven't found the end of life for my fully charged FJ80 battery on a shoot, but since you can't use AA or AAA batteries with the FJ80 you really should get one of these for insurance purposes. Especially if you're a pro.

[31] I have had a lot of speedlight flashes and this is the best yet. Simple to setup on my Canon Mirroless. The menu system is so simple compared to the convulted complex canon speedlights. You have two choices manual or TTL. Once in that mode you either ask for more or less light. TTL you can go up 3 or down 3 from zero. Manual you can go up 10 plus 10 1/10ths or down. Simple. You have a modeling light than you can use with or without flash. Puts out plenty of light on both flash and modeling light.

[0 to +90°] Long time customer of BH and Westcott lighting, having previously purchased the FJ80 with sony adapter. The 80II is great to finally have a westcott light I can use on our sony camera's without that extra adapter need. I still use the FJ80 as an off campus flash but needed something new for our upcoming commencement season as some of the event spaces are poorly lit. After using the flash this past week I couldn't be more pleased with it, build quality, battery life has been great and not needing to carry an extra adapter is a huge plus.

[Shoe] The Westcott light is solidly built. It’s an essential piece of camera kit. I would recommend the speed light to anyone shooting photos, on a budget.
