Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the Slide Light recommended for the Canon R5 or is the Slide a better option ?

A: I use it on a Canon C500mk2, works great. Will be more than enough for a R5

Q: 2. On a Canon 5D with a Real Right Stuff L Bracket, is there any attachment issues since the bracket is custom to mate on the bottom of the camera face?

A: Thank you Lisa.. Although some users have installed under RRS plates before, at this point we do not recommend using the SpiderPro Strap under the RRS L bracket. You can attach it on top of the bracket with another Arca-Swiss Style Adapter Plate (Spider just released a full four-sided Arca Swiss plate). Please check with us, Thank you Spider Team

Q: 3. How much does the case add to the height of the Q3?

A: There is a small plate on the bottom of the Oberwerth TagCase Classic Line Leder for Leica Q3 (Black) where the Leica Q3 is screwed in. That plate is thin and will add a few millimeters to the height of the Leica Q3.

Q: 4. will this strap work on a panasonic lumix dmc-gx8?

A: Yes, it is certainly compatible with the GX8.

Q: 5. Is it compatible with Sirui Rectangular Softbox (23.6 x 35.4") ?

A: The Godox Rectangular Softbox Grid (23.6 x 35.4") is not compatible with the Sirui Rectangular Softbox (23.6 x 35.4"). The Sirui softbox requires a gird that folds over the edges of the softbox and Velcros to the outside of the box, whereas the Godox Rectangular Softbox Grid (23.6 x 35.4") sits inside the lip of the softbox to connect.

Q: 6. Is there any way to also use a neck strap with this? I'd like to be able to carry hands free between shots, but am not sure I'm ready for the holster

A: Paiwei has got it right, you can attach a strap that mounts to the tripod socket of your camera, like Black Rapid. click the link below to view the options; https://bhpho.to/30bqELy

Q: 7. I have a black rapid sport strap and was curious if it will work with my strap?

A: Absolutely. I am using the Black Rapid RS Sport Extreme strap in combination with the SpiderPro Hand Strap and I love them both. Black Rapid doesn't like to mention competitors by name, therefore I assuming that's why they don't specify Black Rapid straps as being compatible. The SpiderPro Hand Strap is extremely comfortable and far superior to other hand straps I have tried. Someone finally got the hand strap right. My only complaint, and a minor one at that, is that the washer that holds the Hand Strap in place under the Black Rapid FastenR is silver rather than black.Maybe I'll post a photo later if I'm able to amend my answer so you can see the two together.

Q: 8. Will this fit a pro body (Canon EOS 1Dx)?

A: yes it will. i'm using it with two 1 series bodies.

Q: 9. Wi LL this work with Canon r6?

A: According to Spider, the newer Spider hand strap v2 would be a better fit for the Canon R6: https://bhpho.to/3utEOqc

Q: 10. Is this safe to hang with heavy lenses mounted to your camera without damaging your lens mount on the camera? I'm just thinking of the 70 - 200 2.8 is

A: I use the SpiderPro single-camera holster with a Nikon D800 and 80-200mm f/2.8AF-D. That all-metal lens measures roughly 7.5 in long x 3.4 in diameter, and weighs 3 lb.; the camera body adds 2 lb. I have not discovered any stress to the body lens mount, although I can imagine that the torque induced by this relatively heavy lens can be considerable, even as one merely walks about. My experience (and my hunch) is that the camera can take it. That said, one must be constantly aware of one's wider girth when using the SpiderPro and bulky camera gear. Smashing into narrow doorways or ship's bulkheads or rocky outcroppings will greatly exacerbate the torque I mentioned earlier and could lead to camera mount damage or more. Be careful and enjoy the freedom the SpiderPro brings. I rely on it when using hiking poles and depend on it when my hands have to be free. Good luck!

[Black / Red] I have used neoprene neck straps for years. While their give makes them easy to wear around the neck, transferring them to shoulder carry was a whole other ballgame: they were constantly slipping off, despite all the rubber dots lining their inner surface.

I recently discovered the straps made by Capturing Couture, and was immediately captured. Not only are they beautiful and elegant, they are quite functional, too. The padded inner material tenaciously grips onto my cotton shirts when wearing them on my shoulder, and the padding itself is comfortable when worn around the neck.

The only thing I don't like about them is the lack of a quick release connector, which was always why I gravitated to the neoprene strap maker in the first place. The straps were easy to remove for video shooting, and swap out with other straps if I wanted a different color.

So, after no small amount of research on the web, I arrived at a solution: 1/2 swivel snap hooks in gun metal gray that attach to the strap on one end, and split rings on the camera's strap lugs on the other. With Nikon & Sony, this is easy, as they already have split rings attached to their lugs. Canon was a bit trickier getting the split ring attached, but a jeweler's screwdriver was sufficient to keep the ring open long enough to thread it onto the lug. My R5 is pictured.

With this minor modification, I think I have found the perfect strap, and have replaced the neoprene straps with these on all my cameras.

[Black / Red] I can't stand neck straps and this beautifully crafted item keeps my Leica in the ready to shoot position. We must all find out what suits our shooting style best, for me this is the zenith of carrying options. Supple leather, strong and sturdy build (so yeah, I'm not worried it's going to break and let my very expensive camera fall) and makes the camera bag a dream to utilize without fighting a long strap. Perfect.

[Black / Red] I find the brand camera strap that is included with the camera purchase, truly ugly and uncomfortable. I don't even bother taking it out of the box. Capturing Couture camera straps are my go-to camera straps for my personal cameras and for gifts. The beautiful design matches my style and is really comfortable (due to the padded, velvet section) when I take it traveling. Very nice quality product. I have received tons of compliments.

[0.23 lb] Great, comfortable and affordable. Finally a strap that is long enough to comfortably carry around my D7000 with a tele. Also fits in with the Native American motif here in New Mexico. I would recommend this to anyone.

[Black / Red] ...It is exactly as I remember it from my youth in the '60's and '70's. Great stuff; B&H rules.
