Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with cannon sl3

A: No, the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR Camera lacks a center pin to trigger the PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver.

Q: 2. Will this work z6ii and sb5000

A: Yes, manually the Pocket Wizard Plus X is compatible with the Nikon Z6 II Mirrorless Cameras and the Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlights by connecting via PC cable. However, certain camera setting must be selected. For example, turn off the electronic shutter and make sure the hot shoe is activated.

Q: 3. Why doesn't the Pocket Wizard PlusX 2 Pack come with two sets of adapter cables? Just bought two of these 2-packs and was surprised to find only one set each, So now I have to buy an extra Mono 3.5mm Miniphone-to-Locking PC Cable.

A: so you could pay more money

Q: 4. Will this work mounted on a Sony A7R / A7S to trigger a Canon 600EX-RT Flash ? Can it also adjust the flash output remotely? Thank you !

A: The Plus X will mount to either of your Sony cameras. You'll need a second unit connected to your flash (even the Canon 600) though. You can not adjust the output of the flash from your Sony with the Plus X. You would need to use a Canon camera and a different PocketWizard system for that.

Q: 5. will this device work with speedotron light kits (brown)?

A: No tried yet.

Q: 6. Will this works with older profoto pack with integrated pocketwizard?

A: Yes this unit is backwards compatible with built in Pocket Wizard receivers found in many Profoto power packs or monolights.

Q: 7. Does it work with the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Radio Slave for Canon E-TTL II System. Will I have E-TTL when using it.

A: Th PocketWiard Plus X Transceiver used on-camera can trigger an off-camera flash connected to the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Radio, and a FlexTT5 used on-camera can trigger a flash connected to the Plus X off-camera. However, the Plus X is NOT compattible with TTL triggering. The ONLY PocketWizard remotes that communicate with PocketWizards ControlTL system to transfer Canon E-TTL II information is the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver and MiniTT1 Transmitter. While the FlexTT5 can trigger all PocketWizard remotes set to the same group/channel, if the flash is not connected to another FlexTT5 unit, then the output power would have to be set manually.

Q: 8. will this work well with the Canon 5D MKII and the 580EX speedlight? are any other accessories needed?

A: The Plus X will work with that equipment but keep in mind you need two pieces (one for your camera and one for your flash). If you have the 580EX II then the cable you will need to connect to the PocketWizard is included. If you have the first 580EX, you would need to purchase a cable separately. See the link below for that cable:http://bhpho.to/1fijrYT

Q: 9. Is there anyway to use the pocket wizard transceiver to wireless trigger shutter release on Nikon D700?

A: With two pocket wizard and the correct cable connection between the Plus X and D700 you will be able to trigger the shutter release.

Q: 10. I'd like to use this PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver; not on my Nikon D750 hot shoe; but plug in its sync cable and let the Nikon built-in flash commands my SB-900 & 800. My question is:Can my Sekonic L-358 (with RT-32 FCC) trigger the camera by this PocketWizrd Plus X?Or have you any advice with other PocketWizard to have the same function?

A: Sounds like you want to just remote trigger your camera via the L-358. Yes the pocket wizard can do that, however it won't do that when plugded into the x- synch. You will need a remote cable, with the cable you plug one end into the pocket wizard and the other into your camera's remote jack. Poclet wizard support is very good concerning remotes cables.

[1x RJ45] I am using only 1 of the adapters in my TL-SX3008F is working out so far (I don't think more than 1 will work in the low powered switch). It is quite hot compared to the DACs and Fiber SFPs. I am using it along with the TL-POE260S PoE+ injector to provide my EAP670 v2 with a 2.5G ethernet connection. The switch doesn't let you choose 2500Mbps on the port because it isn't supported, but it does link at 2500Mbps.

[2.5 W] I am normally a person that uses enterprise equpment like Cisco, Brocade, etc.

Wanting high performance hardware with all the features expected in a professional environment.

Getting a consumer switch means giving up a lot in some situations.

I just recently upgraded to Wifi 7 and needed a switch for Multi-Gig RJ45 and instead of getting a switch with just enough ports for similar cost, this switch had by far the most 10gb connectivity for the price and it was also managed to allow me to do mose of the basic things I want to do.

It runs completly silent, and nice and cool.
For the average home this might be expensive but for someone who needs it, they know this is actually pretty cheap.

[1x RJ45] I have primarily used HPE/Aruba switches for the last 20 years but they are becoming more and more expensive and more difficult to recommend to small clients. I tested out a Netgear M4300 3 years ago and it had all of the features I needed for a much better price.
This is actually the 4th Netgear M4300 model I have purchased and its a great device. It has a large feature set similar to the HPE/Aruba switches I have used before. The web and command-line interface are both fairly intuitive. The manuals are very detailed.

[10 Gb/s] This is small but mighty. Fast internal bus, really simple user interface (it’s a switch, but it has good stuff like bonding that is really simple to set up).
Easy 10.

[IEEE 802.3an] I was looking for a network switch for my office that could handle 10-gigabit connections over RJ-45 (to connect my PC and Synology NAS) but it was difficult to find one that didn't have negative reviews either due to heat or noise. I gave this switch a shot and it's worked extremely well so far. You can set it to use a quiet profile for the fans so that it's not quite as loud and it's been very reliable and performant so far. I can easily transfer While the unit is certainly not silent (the fans are small and can produce a high-pitch hum at times), it is quiet enough to be placed in my office and blends in with the fan noise from other devices like the NAS. Unless it's under a high load or I'm specifically listening for it, I don't even notice it. With larger transfers, I have seen transfer speeds of 550 MB/s to an SSD on my NAS, which is about what I would expect.

[1x RJ45] A breeze to setup and use.
I don't have a lot of experience setting up networks but this switch is so user friendly.
The login interface is super clean looking and easy to navigate.
