Send SDI signals to your HDMI equipment with the Elvid 3G-SDI to HDMI Micro Video Converter. This converter features one 3G-SDI input and converts the signal to one HDMI output, allowing you to route video from an SDI camera or switcher to HDMI gear such as a computer or monitor. Each input and output supports up to 1080p60 resolution video, and there is also a 3G-SDI loop output for local monitoring.

A: No, there is no built in down scaling. If you want a scaler I would recommend the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Quad SDI to HDMI 4K, although it is 6G. If you need 12G I would recommend DECIMATOR 12G-CROSS 4K HDMI/SDI Cross Converter with Scaling and Frame Rate Conversion.

Q: 5. Using the Black Magic ATEM TV Studio HD and the Pocket Cinemas, do I need 2 of these for camera control or just 1? Also, do I need to come into the switcher as HDMI or SDI for camera control?
