Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone had problems with the "plastic" compartment in the cover? I have heard a couple of stories about it getting brittle and getting holes in it. I don't want to get a bag with a wonderful storage spot that is not useable.

A: We have not received any reports about this issue.

Q: 2. Is there a new version of the Stratus 15 without the white ribbons ? On the Tamrac site the bags doesn’t have the white frieze.

A: The version of this bag shown on our site reflects the version shown on Tamrac's site.

Q: 3. Is there another color option?

A: Currently, there is only grey.

Q: 4. Will it fit a 15in laptop? (Dell XPS)

A: Yes, you would be able to fit a 15" Laptop inside this bag.

Q: 5. Can I store all of the pieces that are my steadicam AERO? or only the arm?

A: This bag will only hold the arm. The bag at the link below will hold the arm & vest:a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1347263-REG/steadicam_807_7980_steadimate_arm_and_vest.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1347263-REG/steadicam_807_7980_steadimate_arm_and_vest.html/a

Q: 6. Since the LEDs are on the inside of the box, are they sufficiently diffused that the individual bulbs won't be reflected in shiny silver jewelry?

A: Yes, very soft lighting. You can also diffuse the lights with diffusion material if need be.

Q: 7. Will a canon 100-400mm lens fit in this bag?

A: Tom, I don't have your 100-400mm lens, but I do have the Tamrac bag in question and the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens, which is sized almost identically to your 100-400mm lens. For example, your lens is only 0.1 or 0.2 longer (depending upon whether you have the original model or the second generation, respectively) than mine, but that is an insignificant difference. More significant is that my lens is 0.4 or 0.2 wider, respectively, even though all 3 lenses use 77mm filters, which means that you might have an easier time fitting your slimmer lens into the Tamrac bag than I do with my fatter lens. You'd have to lay the lens down horizontally (either attached to the camera or separated) because the lens is too long to stand upright without the bag having a tightly bulging lid. (I haven't even tried to zip the stiff lid with the lens upright because it would not be easy.) You'd still have to remove dividers on one side and perhaps rearrange those remaining because the horizontal tunnel through the middle of the bag is not wide enough for my fat lens and probably not wide enough for yours. However, when you lay the lens into the bag horizontally, then you might lose the ability to also fit the full complement of accessories that you want to also have in the bag. That is why I prefer to carry my lens separately in Canon's rugged & padded soft case that is provided with the lens, which works for me because this much telephoto is not needed for every shoot, but I consider other items more necessary. (For example, I prefer the EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens for portraits, macro and many telephoto shots.) If you really want your long lens in the camera bag along with other lenses & accessories, then you might prefer to look for a bag taller than the Tamrac Stratus 15, depending upon what else you want to fit in there. An extra inch or two taller might be enough for your lens to stand upright (detached from the camera), which would greatly reduce the size of its footprint inside the bag. On the other hand, if you don't plan to carry too many lenses, then this bag should work great!

Q: 8. does this zip closed or do you use the clips? in the picture it doesnt look like the clips are attached to anything...thanks

A: This bag uses clips and a zipper, if you look closely, the clips are attached.

Q: 9. Can the two side pouches be removed?

A: No. The side pouches on the Stratus 15 shoulder bag are not removable.

Q: 10. Will the Tenba Cooper 13 dslr fit my d610 with 24-70 2.8 and 85 1.8g. + 50 1.4g

A: This bag should have no issues fitting the Tenba Cooper 13 dslr fit my d610 with 24-70 2.8 and 85 1.8g. + 50 1.4g

[Bass-Reflex] I bought this for $100 off as a speaker to use for center fills working with PRX12s as I did not need as much power. It is a great filler. I have not used the blue tooth so no comment there. I have also used it as a stand alone speaker for 2 weddings with 60 - 150 people in attendance and the speaker has the power to push comfortably 60 feet deep without full driving and risk of feedback. I am satisfied with the purchase and will buy another to have a pair for double the fun for my next events

[128 dB] If you like the Eons you will like these as well. THey have more power and have great low end. the BT is real easy to use, super easy to pair. I love the lightweight design, easy to pole mount. the bass boost is a great feature. the feedback seems decent, just remember to alwasys reset your feedback internal settings everytime you use it. its midrange tone seems to go higher when you increase the volume. it has plenty of power which enables it to be very versatile, can be a PA, monitor or practice speaker. for the price this speaker really gives you great performance and options.

[Bass-Reflex] It took me a few minutes to dial in the JBL, but once I figured that out it sounds smooth and complimented my setup perfectly. I'm not sure why anyone in a studio setting would want to use anything but the 80hz crossover. It had PLENTY of power, in fact, it's set to about 40 percent power to balance out with my studio monitors. Folks that say it doesn't have enough power need to turn down the gain of their monitors.

The whole idea of a studio sub is not to blow you away (which this can certainly do) but rather to compliment (extend the frequency range of) the monitors. It does this very well. If you don't use this balance, your mixes will not be accurate may result in them being low-frequency deprived.

I can easily switch between sub + crossovered monitors to monitors with no crossover with my Mackie 1642VLZ4 mixer. I just use a subgroup output to isolate my monitors without the sub. What makes this possible is that the HS8 monitors have 2 inputs, so your miles may vary.

When dialing your sub in, remember that less is more. I've found this to be true in just about every facet of life.

Happy Mixing.

[128 dB] Bought this set for a party with DJ spinning a set, and it's a great kit with everything included. I particularly like Bluetooth feature and ability to pair both speakers together. I also use this kit to play backing tracks when playing guitar.

[Bass-Reflex] Unpacked and connected, didn't have to adjust anything. Plugged my studio monitors to the outputs of the sub, then monitoring system out to the sub inputs, hit play and go. Sub has a higher wattage than most, higher price, but I waited until it was on sale. I did consider other active subwoofers, but this one has a larger woofer, and flexible in's and out's, and is tuned to match my JBL 5" studio nearfields. Great item!!

[Bass-Reflex] It's a big one but paired with the 305s it works nicely. Placement is really important. Happy I waited for it to come on sale.

[80 to 120 Hz] Bought this for my small home music studio and I couldn’t be happier. I went from an 8” sub that at the time I felt did the job to this beast and there’s no comparison, It’s night and day. I also use my set up for everyday music listening and it’s made that even more enjoyable. This sub is huge! Much larger then I anticipated. It hits really hard for hip hop BUT I’m someone who loves bass in classic rock and I love how this sub compliments rock music. I can’t compare it to pricier subs since I’ve never been in a position to hear one but what I can say is that this one for its price is worth every penny. Very impressed.
