There is an LED light on the front panel next to an "IR LOCK" indication to the right of the device's digital display that would confirm this has been engaged. To disengage IR Lock, press and hold Shift and then press Pause on the DN-500BD MKII’s front panel.

A: No, the DN-500BD MKII is not compatible with Ultra HD Blu-ray. It can play and view Blu-ray Disc formats BD25, BD50, BD-ROM, BD-R, and BD-RE, as well as DVD formats DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RW.
