The Rogue Photographic Design Round Flash Kit + Adapter V2features essential Rogue light modifiers and a 3-Gel Starter Set. The modifiers allow mounting the included gels as well as other Rogue round gels onto round flashes. The included modifiers are a one Flash Diffuser Dome (soft silicone), two Flash Gel Lenses (one mounts inside the Flash Diffuser Dome), and a Flash Grid 45. All the modifiers are very lightweight and easy to carry with you. In most cases, two modifiers are required for mounting a gel. A gel installs between two modifiers. The modifiers snap magnetically to each other and then to a compatible round flash.

Compatible round flashes include the Godox V1, R100, and HR200 head for AD200, Geekoto GT 250 and GTR, and Westcott FJ80. For compatibility with the Profoto A1, A1x, and A10 round flashes, the optional Rogue PF Adapter along with the included Rogue Flash Gel Lens are both required. You can also achieve compatibility with rectangular speedlight flashes by adding the optional Rogue Flash Adapter (standard or small) in addition to two magnetic modifiers.

Just snap the Rogue Flash Diffuser Dome to your camera flash to soften the light whenever you're photographing portraits with flash. The soft white dome helps to diffuse the harsh light from your flash, and the semi-spherical shape of the dome makes it easier on you when bouncing flash. It conveniently collapses for easy storage. When it's used in combination with the Flash Gel Lens (also part of this kit), it can quickly and easily be quickly detached from it as needed.

You can easily control the direction of light from your flash with this honeycomb grid. Just snap it onto your flash to project a circle of light with a 45° "grid spot". If you get additional grids, you can stack them to create even smaller light circles. For example, stacking two Rogue Flash Grid 45 modifiers makes a smaller 25° grid spot. Stacking three makes an even smaller 16° spot of light.

Combine this Flash Gel Lens with the Flash Diffuser Dome or Flash Grid 45 to use one of the gels in the included 3-Gel Starter Set.

Includes cotton candy, blue steel, and 1/2 CTO gels.

Q: 7. Will this device work with the Nikon D5300 and D3200?

A: Sorry it took so long, I could not get this portion to open. Also sorry, I don't own a D5300 and I have never even tried to use this on my D3200. I do have a slight problem getting it on a few of my other camera, the bracket that slides into the flash adaptor doesn't fit, and too, the flash is too big to fit in this devices opening. I've only used it a few times and it does project the flash further than the onboard flash. Tom G

[0.24 lb] As soon as I picked up a speedlight and started trying to shoot indoors with it, I was dismayed by the contrast between the color temperature of the speedlight and the tungsten indoor light. Some quick research pointed me to using gels to adjust for this. Picked up this set, and it's been great. Seems like a comprehensive set of filters, with a convenient pouch and bands to mount on various speedlights.

Quick tip: first time I tried to figure out how to use the bands, I tried holding the gel on, and putting the band on top of it. Then I realized it would be much easier to just put the band on the speedlight, and then insert each of the tabs into the band.

[0.24 lb] I needed a few flash gel filters for shooting in mixed light like tungsten lights with ambient sunlight. This kit covers that and much more. There are lots of filter colors and a card suggesting which filter(s) to use in which conditions. The whole kit lays nice and flat so it fits well in the equipment bag.

[0.24 lb] Do you use Godox round head magnetic anything? Having difficulty changing gels and fitting them into fidgety holders? This is the way to quickly change and securely hold the Rogue pre-cut gels. Lee filters makes the Rogue gels. Great. Changing them and making sure they don't fall out is why this product was made. So, attach this item directly to your flash unit. Insert your gel of choice. Then secure it with any magnetic accessory from the AK-R1 kit. Even if it's just the ring that was originally included which doesn't modify anything. If you use gels with these Godox heads, and use them a lot, then consider the time saving benefits and the ways they improve the look of your on-location work. $30.

[0.24 lb] I have the accessory kit for the Godox round head for the AD200. There some gels included with it which fit into a magnetic ring that attaches to the front of the head. It works but its time-consuming. One has to place the gel between a sandwich of two pieces of plastic and then finagle this into a series of fingers that hold it in place. I ordered some round Rogue filters (made by Lee filters) in color correction and also a set for color effects. You can set the gel right on the lens of the round head and use the supplied magnetic ring, but they fall out and if they didn't, they could get damaged by the heat that builds up in the flash head. The Rogue product has the plastic piece already in place. So, snap this piece on the flash head, put the gel in and then contain it with the magnetic ring that comes with the kit. Very quick. And you greatly reduce the chance of damaging the gel from heat or over-handling it. You can still use all the other attachments/modifiers that come with the kit. The only negative is the price. A bit steep for what it actually is, but time is money. So, it'll eventually pay for itself if you use gels a lot like I do.

[0.24 lb] I was looking for a simple and quick flash attachment that included a spherical diffuser and grid, and the Rogue kit fully met this objective. The standard size adapter perfectly fits on my Nikon SB700 flash, being both easily installed and removed. The magnetic flange is very strong, and allows for a quick change of attachments.
