The Orbbec Femto Mega I Depth Camera IP65 Ratedfrom Orbbec Femto Mega I Depth Camera IP65 Ratedis a programmable, multi-mode, industrial-grade depth, and RGB camera with real time streaming of processed images over Ethernet connectivity. It delivers resolutions of up to 3840 x 2160 at 5, 15, and 25 fps. The camera uses Microsoft's TOF technology and the NVIDIA Jetson platform to deliver a software-defined depth and RGB vision platform for computer vision and AI developers. Also featured are rolling and global shutters, wavelength sensitivity up to 850nm, and an RJ45 interface that delivers power and network connectivity. The camera may also be powered using its DC input and a separately sold power adapter.

Method 1:

When using the POE connection, there is no need for any external power supply. Use the M12 connection on the camera to connect to a compatible POE switch or external computer.

Method 2:

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the industrial control computer's network port and the other end to the 8-pin network port of the industrial 3D camera. Connect one end of the power cable to the power switch and the other end to the 12-pin power port of the industrial 3D camera. All cables and power switch connections are available as optional accessories.

Q: 3. I shoot Olympus which of course have IBIS. Is there a switch to turn off the Lens IS or an easy way to turn off the IS?

A: Susan, there is no switch on the lens. I don't have an Olympus camera but I have seen others ask this question on one of the photography forums. The answer was that Olympus has a menu item that allows you to turn off the IBIS so you can use OIS only. As far as the lens IS the way I understand it is Olympus cameras default to IBIS only in the case where both are present unless IBIS has been turned off in the menu as I mentioned above. So, if you haven't turned IBIS offl your Olympus will ignore the lens OIS and you're good to go.

Q: 4. Is there a bag that can fit this? I'd like a padded bag that would fit this for transport

A: I run a rental house in ABQ and after a lengthy search I never came across a bag that could fit the Mega Boom. Even looked at snowboard and ski bags/cases but all were just too short. Ended up having ProCases custom make a case for us out of ABS plastic w/ foam cutout inside. Significantly cheaper then a Pelican custom. Could always just keep wrapping it in a furni pad, but no style points if trying to impress clients. Best of luck hunting

A: The approximate weight of the umbrella and packaging is 13lbs.We can ship it to you in Florida.

Q: 6. Has anyone ever tried this as a mic boom for long take live production?

A: Haven't tried it but it would work. You would probably need a grip head to hold the mike holder. The cranks for tilt and rotation would be useful. The crank to extend the arm is in an awkward place though.

Q: 7. is it possible to use Lastoline Quad Bracket (B&H # LAQBEZB) with this umbrella?

A: Unfortunately, no, the Lastolite Quad Bracket will not work with the Lastolite Mega Umbrella (Silver Parabolic). The Lastoline Quad Bracket is designed for use on Lastolite Ezyboxes, and there is not an umbrella socket for use with umbrellas. An alternative option would be the Lastolite TriFlash Shoe Mount Bracket, B&H # LATFLSM.

A: I don't know; I own a Panasonic Lumix camera and assumed this lens was designed to fit my camera; someone at B & H should be able to answer your question; they know more about which lens fit which cameras. Ask to speak to one of the pros at B & H and I am sure they can help you.

[850 nm] I just got this rack bag in and am impressed with the solid build and workmanship. I believe I saw Made in USA on the label, which is always nice. With all cases of this style one has to be mindful of the zippers, which always seem to fail before the rest of the bag does. I can't comment on durability or longevity of the zippers this manufacturer uses - yet - but they look pretty robust, so we shall see. The padding isn't super thick, probably a half inch, but I don't plan on throwing the gear around either. The rack insert is removable and the bag is built well enough that removal and reinsertion of it is done easily, without a struggle. Keep in mind, this is only an 8 inch deep unit which is fine for my purposes. 5
