The SYMPLY LTO-6 Desktop Tape Drive SAS XTHfrom SYMPLY LTO-6 Desktop Tape Drive SAS XTHfeatures a desktop form factor with chassis that can support dual drive bays, although this configuration only has one LTO-6 tape drive connected via a SAS-8088 port to your Windows, Mac, or Linux system. LTO-6 media supports a native storage capacity of up to 2.5TB and data transfers of up to 160 MB/s, or, when using 2.5:1 compression, a storage capacity of up to 6.25TB.

[Desktop] I've purchased dozens of these and haven't had any issues to date. Works as expected & reliable. I'm using a mLogic mTape LTO-7 drive. The only minor quibble I have is that they don't come with any sort of label/sticker. 5

[Yes] My Super Micro has only 4@ 3.5" internal drives but the SEAX11 system board supports 8 SATA ports. This drive cage gives me devices for the other 4 ports. � I now have two BIOS selectable boot systems each in RAID-1 configuration. No data is stored on this storage, just the boot configuration which is quite small compared to today's 2.5" drive capacities. 5

[100,000] Our small video agency recently upgraded our LTO drive to LTO-8 and started buying these tapes for our footage and project archives. The significant capacity increase with only marginal increase to cost per tape saves our company a lot of time and money. So far the tapes have been very reliable and performed well during archive and restoring. We will be buying plenty more in the future. 5
